Its very sad seeing people destroy themselves mentally or physically because they're not 'attractive enough'. Tons of guys at my school an old schools do this, some get results, some don't. I think that something a lot of people who do looksmaxxing dont understand is that looks aren't everything. Sounds like bs and sometimes i myself feel that way too, but if you pay attenion to the people around you or just think about it for five seconds, you will see that TONS of people who aren't considered 'attractive' are very happily married/dating and have long, healthy relationships. (Not true for everyone, of course.) I can almost 100% guarantee you that nobody who does looksmaxxing will ever be in happy relatonship. Relationships between people who consider attractiveness only are almost always over as soon as they start or so toxic it's actually disgusting. I see this all the time at my school. Ive never seen a looksmaxxer have a relationship last more than a few months. Even though my own opinion alone won't really prove anything, I have personally never been attracted to a single person who does the looksmaxxing stuff. Neither have my friends. All the people I have ever liked are people they would consider 'unattractive', but i dont. why? Because its a matter of preference and I don't obsess over looks in people. Anyone who is worth your time and worth your love will not put looks first. Very few people will make it with a pretty face and a disgusting, putrid, rotting attitude and personality. (Though sometimes it can't be helped because this trend damages people's mental health so badly they turn into completely different people.)

Right. It's a product of neurotic thoughts, which are traditionally more common in woman, but in the recent past men have become more neurotic as well. I would guess that the biggest difference between male neuroticism and female neuroticism lies in the tendency for men to be drastic and direct. Woman wear makeup and eat less. Men take human growth hormone and hit themselves in the face with a hammer. Much like how suicidal thoughts cause woman to attempt suicide through poisoning, but causes men to shoot themselves with a twelve Gauge. (or go on a killing spree ending in a suicide.)

6:44 The main reason you shouldn't mouth-breathe is because it's _bad_ for you: 1. It exposes your teeth and gums to too much air, which makes your mouth overly dry and weakens your teeth; 2. It makes your breath too dry and its temperature different from your internal temperature, while breathing in through your nose gives the air a greater opportunity to moisten and match your temperature; 3. It makes you more likely to get sick, because your nose hairs and nasal cavity don't get the opportunity to catch dirt and other particles, and that's in addition to the prior two points. 4. It can lead to other breathing and nasal/sinus problems like snoring and sleep apnœa. I wouldn't be surprised if it also contributes to congestion or septum issues, but I can neither confirm nor deny that, best to look it up yourself; 5. It can contribute to recessing of your chin which, yes, generally doesn't look great, but more importantly can misalign your teeth. Looking more _Sigmesque_ and _Chadlike_ are fine and all, but they shouldn't take priority over the actual health benefits as reasons for doing something.

At the end of the day, if you aren’t a pleasant person to be around nobody is gonna take you seriously and just avoid you. Incels just lack that basic understanding and social skills and it’s depressing but also it’s their own fault being stuck in that mindset
@Teesquared008 ай бұрын
I think a lot of incels believe that changing their personality or attitude is tantamount to defeat or submission, and that if they become more affable or empathetic, the only women who will date them will take advantage of them or cheat on them because they're too "beta." In their minds, I think their mission to become a giga-chad is ultimately a mission to assert total dominance over all social interactions. Afterall, why would a dominant alpha need to change anything when they're so intimidating? In their minds, real men don't ask women to date, they become so alpha and desirable that women feel foolish for *not* being with them, regardless of their personality.

I experienced something similar to starve-Maxxing in high school where I met a girl over the summer of my freshman year, it was clear she liked me, but rejected me for another boy who was more fit. I spent the next 5 months ‘starving’ myself, usually eating no more than 900 calories a day, and lost 50 pounds in 3 months. Not only do I think it stunted my growth but fostered a very unhealthy relationship with food that I carry to this day. What made things worse is once she saw the Instagram photos of my 5’10 120 pound self, she immediately reached out and we began a relationship, thus reinforcing my self-destructive eating behavior. The relationship failed after two years and I gained all the weight back and more within 5 years. I’d say my binge eating is worse now, and I literally have to take appetite suppressants to avoid breaking the bank with food purchases. I’m 5’11 and nearly 200 pounds at 22 y/o and I know I’ll be morbidly obese by 30 if I don’t fix something. A word to young folks: if you set out to improve, do it for you and nobody else.
@UNDERCOVER_E8 ай бұрын
God I relate heavily to this but my experience is a bit different. I spend my entire childhood fat, and then when I hit puberty I thinned out. Got depressed at 15 and went from 6’ 190lbs to 6’2 and 300 lbs by age 18. I spent the next 4 years between 275lbs and 310 lbs and when I turned 23 I decided I was sick of being obese (it was because of a girl as well) I basically starved myself exactly like you did 1000 calories or less a day for about 6 months, I got down to 220 and then got a bit less strict, eating about 1400 cals a day. Then I hit 200lbs, met another girl last November, and kinda stopped caring because she accepts me for me, and I basically went from anorexia back to binge eating and I need to stop because I’m starting to gain weight again. Like where is the balance and how do we find it? I really want to be normal and have a good relationship with food but my mind must be broken from trauma I experienced as a child (whole different story). Anyway sorry for writing an essay, I just related to what you said a lot and I think writing this stuff out can help. I wish you luck brother (or sister) and I do believe in us, we probably just need therapy but that shits expensive 😢

Sort of like how "Sigma male" stuff spawned to parody alpha culture, where you're a deliberately immoral idiot, contrarian, narcissistic sociopath, etc. and it's presented as desirable. Also, the idea that someone would drink embalming fluid out of a corpse's genitals as some indescribable means of improving their appearance is so hilarious and stupid to me that I can't imagine it was spread around in good faith or genuinely.

Everything that increases neurotic throughs will have that effect. You can take a perfectly healthy person and just make them incredibly anxious and pessimistic and then they will automatically show patterns of behavior we associate with certain pathologies. Negative self thought is the most prominent one. If took someone perfectly healthy but you manage to make them only think negatively about themselves, they will instantly act extremely mentally ill. Since everything you experience is a product of yourself in a way, and everything around you is seen by you only as it exists relative to you, if you hate yourself, EVERYTHING becomes a source of anguish. When I was feeling my worst, even seeing a happy couple enjoying their life on a beautiful day would cause me to want to end it. Like, seeing a pretty butterfly would make me incredibly sad.

When you got to ropemaxing I was surprised you didn’t mention all the “core” stuff like hopecore and corecore, but then I remembered that the internet slang rabbit hole is practically endless. It’s just crazy how words that came out of different internet subcultures end up overlapping pretty often

This is nothing new, really! Preying on people's insecurities is a recurring "trend"! Women and men were always a target of the cosmetic and fashion industry and brands! Magazines with their "advices", advertisements, tv shows, celebrities selling make-up or fitness products or video tapes, etc! But with social media, everyone can give themselves an "expert in X" title. Remember all the youtube gurus like Jeffrey Star or the Hi Sisters guy? And now new scammers are trying to cater to every niche, disfranchised group! The more vulnerable the target group is, the more successful they are in tricking them! It's actually sad how we're celebrating diversity but are even more cruel judging everyone who's actually diverse and have difficulty finding a place in society, and easy prey to those who just want to take advantage of them!

My thoughts as well! It's unfortunately true that there have always been people that have used other people's insecurities to control them/the population sadly. Another negative thing is the environment impact too, like how a bunch of birds died so that some royalty back in the 1700's could wear them in their hats (and I think it was because Marie Antoinette or some other people of royalty started it as a trend).
