Stay the course and it will get better, this is your new normal “for now” the less attention (energy) you give it the more space you give it to move on.

Not just not feeling sleepy but feeling such a physical agitation that your hands swolen, your body jerks just when it should feel heavy and sleepy, which i later learned that this is my old sleeping que, altered by anxiety. But they fade away with time.

I was better for a while. Relapsed once again. I liked the befriending concept at first, but honestly I hate being awake, and I don't want to do anything in the middle of the night.. these relapses destroy me. I was sleeping so well.

I find the sleep window has been somewhat helpful for me. But like you been times when I've been falling asleep before the window then struggling once in bed . It's so frustrating. I think the biggest key is to be ok being awake In bed like we were before insomnia. Just takes some practice.

I totally agree Dan, being ok with being awake in bed is a great way to show your brain that you are safe.

Can you do a video on waking up in the morning, and feeling like you need 1-2 more hours of sleep, but now you have trouble falling back asleep because your sleep drive is much lower? But you feel a bit fatigued/tired, not optimal. This has been a struggle for me for many months. I can get to sleep pretty good at night, but the mornings I wake up before I truly feel refreshed, leading to a 3 hour struggle to fall back asleep to get more sleep.

Hello cloud, chasing sleep can make sleep more elusive. Avoid pursuing anything that can only be had effortlessly. The more attention, the more energy, the more we find ourselves in a struggle.

@@cristianzor_scs I watched it 😊 I was wondering, every single person who experiences on going insomnia is from hyperarousal? It could be a medical condition/hormones that cause sleep disturbances, but to keep it on going is the hyperarousal from what I remember hearing from one of Daniel’s videos? Just trying to clarify this. I have ocd and I know I have to be ok with not having an answer to everything because in life, we simply don’t have the answers to everything, but I was just trying to make sure if this is true.

Just what I needed to hear Coach Cristian! I have been experiencing the Houdini Effect nightly for a few weeks. Do you think the CBT- i program I also took left residual and lingering fear? I will be reading in bed and fall asleep and then startle myself awake. This may be something I need to keep experiencing until my brain feels that there is nothing to fear. Thank you🙏

Did you take prescribed meds? Most people trouble sleeping was prescribed sleeping meds and anti depressants. Now we don't know whether it's the sleeping pill that's making us feel depressed or we're depressed that's why we need meds 🤷‍♀️ can you do an insight with this one. I am so confused
