The Carnotaurus had chameleon-like camouflage abilities in The Lost World novel, hard to gameify that so I reckon going invisible was the compromise to keep things exciting while retaining the theme from the book 👍🏻

In regards to the "invincible" dinosaur, the green Carnotaurus: Back in the original novel, it was revealed that JP's dinosaurs are actually hybrids of various creatures, such as birds and reptiles, since much of their original DNA was destroyed. In other JP media, they expanded the idea in more depth, by specifying which species they used in order to "glue together" their DNA. Amongst those, were chameleons, were they can blend with their involvements, hence appear as invincible. The same idea was later reused for Jurassic World, but very few people actually know that Lost World the arcade game did that first! Thanks for your video, I'm a huge Jurassic Park fan so naturally I love it!

Jurassic World actually added an invisible dinosaur! They made a hybrid dinosaur with chameleon DNA that basically gives it active camouflage like a Predator. I think the carnotaurus is going with a similar idea: either it was spliced with chameleon DNA (instead of frog DNA like the othe dinos) or it just naturally has chameleon-like camouflage (we wouldn't be able to tell from fossils).
@sega_kid42889 ай бұрын
Chameleons don’t turn “invisible” and their color does really have to do with camouflage as much as it has to do with its temperature and emotional state.

You should read the Jurrasic Park and The Lost World novels, or the audio books. All of the dino lore you are looking for is there. Carnotaurus was a big part of the 2nd novel, and the movie completely diverted from it

I have fond memories of playing this at the mall, back when malls had arcade machines. True story: one time I was at the mall killing time before I was supposed to start work at noon, and I put a dollar into this machine and started playing a credit. As I was doing so, an announcement came over the PA saying that in recognition of November 11th (Remembrance Day), the mall would now observe a moment of silence. The moment of silence was ruined by the bombastic sounds of this game echoing through the solemn halls. It was very embarrassing.

I was thinking the same about the graphics. If I had to try and pinpoint it I’d say it’s the use of colour, it has a fairly drab palette coupled with the lack of detail in parts. Regarding the phasing Dinosaur maybe Curien has been experimenting on it, a shared universe!🤣
