In 2003, the Hubble Space Telescope took the image of a millenium, an image that shows our place in the universe. Anyone who understands what this image represents, is forever changed by it.
How Can the universe be 78 billion LY across? I explain that in this article:
deepastronomy.space/article/1...
There is also a link to a science paper on the topic, that paper actually states 96 billion LY.

Deep Astronomy you should totally do a HD remake of this masterpiece. I can’t believe it’s been 14 years since I stumbled upon this! Something about the music and your ultra soothing voice and way of speaking makes this video a true universal treasure. A must watch every few months to put things in perspective. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

This video moved me so much when I first saw it back in 2007. I'm glad I found it again. I know as humans we have done a lot of damage to our planet, but without any civilizations to set examples for us we have had to learn and grow from our own mistakes. We will continue to do this until we either kill ourselves or one day expand beyond our own star. We have an idea of the fate of Mars when its atmosphere melted away. Whether or not it once held life, it is all but gone now. No one will ever know the amazing animals and plants that once thrived there. In a few billion years our planet will die alongside the sun - everything will die. Human intelligence is truly nature's truly greatest gift to us. We were not meant to be a part of the "natural cycle" anymore. In a way, we are truly the consciousness of our planet, and perhaps the living conscious of the universe itself. Earth's very own chosen ones. Nature's gift to us is also our chance to escape, to advance and grow. And to not die with Earth one day- but to travel among the stars. The true Children of the Earth. If we end up like Mars no other civilization will ever know of what this little blue planet was capable of. We have the potential to do amazing things even if we are alone out here. I can only hope as a species we realize this sooner before later.

I've been watching this video for a few years now. Space and our universe as a whole never ceases to amaze me. My hope is that one day everyone has a chance to see our blue marble from orbit. The developments currently being made into space travel are pretty amazing. These next hundred years or so will be very exciting. Does anyone know the track with the flute piece played during the last part of the video?

I loved this so much that I shared it with my son and many friends. You made it so that regular everyday ppl can grasp just how big the universe is and how very small our lives are. It's mind blowing to me. Thank you for making this video. I couldn't explain this yesterday to my friend. Tonight I saw this video and called him into my room so he could see it. You are great at this. I'll keep looking up and you keep talking and sharing, please. You are great at it and have the perfect voice for listening to. Thank you

That's the idea. They want you to share it with everyone to keep us believing that we are insignificant and that we live on a speck of dust in a Godless, endless, universe. This video is an excellently crafted deception of augmented reality. If you really want to wake up and be enlightened, watch FIat Earth Dave lnterviews. You'll thank me later.

Nice video. Hubble's Ultra Deep Field is probably my favorite image ever. One thing I might suggest though, is remaking this video in a higher resolution. A video in 240p just doesn't do justice to a 6000x6000 pixel image. And to answer all the religious debate comments down there... The fact that there are billions of galaxies in the universe, and that each have billions of stars, which may or may not have life on them, neither proves, nor disproves the existence of a God/Creator.

TheOtherGuys2 Sure it does. No way in hell some crazy guy in the sky is going to be capable of creating such splendor, and it would be pointless for "Him" to do so. If God really existed he would have gotten it right the FIRST time, since according to the religious woowoos we are just SO special.............

To be honest, I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did. EMI submitted the claim, they own all Pink Floyd music. Luckily, this was the only video I ever made where I used music I didn't own the rights to or wasn't in the CC. I wish there was a better way to use music, I know I've been responsible for more people buying tracks of 'Ride On' for that band than they ever would have without this video.

In comparison, we as humans (most of us who qualify as humans that is) although we take up space, we are smaller than a grain of sand on the beach and mean absolutely nothing... In time, no matter who you are or what you have done or how much money you have, no one will care or even know you existed.. We are not even dust in the wind..

Larry 306 God cares. Rainbows prove we live under a prism in an enclosed ecosystem. Raindrops serve merely as a wall rainbows are reflected onto. Only large dome shaped rainbows can be created by large dome shaped prisms. Just like any other prism on earth. They refract & reflect light into the opposite direction of the light source taking the same shape and never collaboratively working together. Each prism works independently from the other. There is no “outer space”. The firmament and the waters create the prism necessary to create rainbows that are refracted & reflected away. Raindrops waterfalls and backyard sprinklers are no different than a vertical lake or puddle allowing us to see light reflected upon. Rainbows prove Gods word true and the devotion of “outer space” for exactly what it is; a lie to deceive us of heaven, that we don’t matter, that there is no God when truly we are front & center of His attention.

Simply not true, do we remember Einstein? Tesla? Pele?! Do what makes you happy, if attention makes you happy, fair play to you. If you wanna wallow in depression rather than attempt to learn more to pass down to future generations, that's also your call. Ignore the comment from Larry, he's been brainwashed by obvious bullshit. The earth is only 6,000 years old according to the original texts, but I bet he doesn't believe that bit and just cherry pics the slightly less retarded stuff.

The concept of the immense grandeur of the universe, the sheer size of it ALONE, has a far more profound meaning for me than ANY religion anywhere,could ever hope to inspire. The narrow scope of religion is puny and insignificant in comparison.

+Jeremiah Brand O RLY? Tell that to the boy kicked out of school because he didn't believe in God. Or to the students of PUBLIC schools being taught creationism in SCIENCE CLASS. Or to the LGBT community. I think you need to examine more closely who the 'hateful' and 'obnoxious' really are. I gave an honest opinion based upon my 51 years of observation and personal experience. And you felt compelled to offer YOUR opinion about MY opinion. My opinion of your opinion of my opinion is you suck. You don't like the comments people post in a PUBLIC forum? There's an easy solution - go somewhere else. But I suppose you feel it's easier to try to bend the world to YOUR whim, isn't it? You don't realize it yet, but you've sort of made my point for me.

Elvin Wilkerson *FALSE* Religions are MAN MADE institutions and by definition limited to this tiny little planet, which is insignificant in comparison to the scale of just our solar system, much less the universe. And I do know something of religion. I realized it was all bullshit and scare tactics when I was just 14. Don't get me wrong - I want to believe the pretty mantra and dogma, but I'm sorry, I just cannot accept the outrageous tales and half-baked interpretation of ancient legends that religion is founded upon. Warm, fuzzy feelings and ancient fold tales are not enough for me, and religion has consistently failed to provide any sort of rationale at all. And don't take this the wrong way, but you obviously don't understand Atheism. I seriously doubt you ever will until you actually QUESTON the tenets of your faith with a rational mind. To do this, you have to actually think for yourself, which religion typically vilifies, because no religion survives rational thought.
@KitCox
@KitCox 8 жыл бұрын
+Elvin Wilkerson You said, "It's far greater than the universe." No it's not. No religion on Earth is any revelation from any supernatural being, which being would have created the universe in the first place. EVERY religion is nothing but the imagination of some human testicle somewhere since no human being can prove otherwise.
