I have to ask….why don’t you cut the core actually out instead of just shaving over it? Isn’t that leaving way for a quicker return? I understand there’s bone spurs as a cause in the circumstance but in general cases whether interdigital or other corns I am not sure we see any “core” removal as such. I have a soft corn (well I believe it’s a soft corn ) on the inside of 4th toe between 4th n 5th but podiatrist said it’s simply just callous. It’s pretty well been there for a heap of years, causes pain but not unbearable unless the shoe is really scrunching my feet up. Podiatrist shaved a very small amount off but said anymore and itl bleed. I didn’t agree and wanted more off until I felt it wasn’t that (moveable bubble) type feeling. Anyhoooo… Because of the angle and the way I’d have to place my foot I can’t really get to it properly myself. I didn’t really feel the podiatrists I attended were very good to be honest. Initially going for orthotics with metatarsal pads due to recently being diagnosed with bursitis/Morton’s neuroma 2/3, 3/4, plus arthritis in BOTH feet. Left is worse with the largest being 3/4 14mm x 8 mm….feels like it’s actually getting worse by the day. More numbers, definite feeling as if there’s a water balloon inbetween toes and every times you step it’s being pushed out underneath. I’m trying to find an Ortho surgeon or podiatrist surgeon here in Perth who can hopefully do decompression on the ones needed before theyre too large and the only option left is oral removal. I’m getting reviews from several people who have had removals that have ended up with stump issues, more or the same pain and so one. Some are recommending to find Dr’s who’ll perform decompression rather than removal. I was hoping for the change of ablation to be honest but again, what research I do, I hear that for neuromas over 8mm the option is usually removal. If so I’d prefer it to be incised from under foot, again simply for the fact I’ve hear that from underneath there’s a more favourable result than coming in from top of foot. May I please ask what your opinion is, on all of the treatments and at what stage does one need to look into it. I was only diagnosed in April but it seems to have secretly have been there n snuck up on me quickly…having 2 x in both feet isn’t ideal I can tell you. Thanks Dr

Ten years ago I slipped a disk in my neck exercising. I did not pay much attention to it at first. A few days later I awoke in the middle of the night with the most excruciating pain and it only got worse. It made my motorcycle accident when I was 21 seem like a scraped knee. The pain was so bad I would cry but when I cried I had to move my neck which made it almost "white pain" if you have heard of that. Just before I drove myself to the emergency room, I literally thought Dr. Kevorkian was on to something, no joke. How does anyone endure pain like that. So, yeah, I get little places and great pain.
