I absolutely love watching this show. It never got the credit it deserved. It was so good. The writing was so good. And it wasn’t too cheesy like a lot of shows of that era were. Lou FERRIGNO…the first person ever, to portray the Incredible Hulk.

Actually, Richard Kiel was the first. You might remember him as Jaws in the James Bond movies Moonraker and The Spy Who Loved Me, or as Happy Gilmore's boss, the one who beat up Shooter McGavin. He was chosen for role because of his height, but the producer's son pointed out that the Hulk was jacked, and not just tall, so they went with Lou Ferrigno. I've read several places that there is one scene in the pilot where Richard Kiel is on screen as the Hulk for a very short time, but I've never been able to spot it.

The girl did recognize David right away because if I remember this episode correctly she stated that she saw him at a seminar or something similar years before and she promised David she wouldn't say anything to anyone or ask why he was pretending to be dead and remember in the Incredible Hulk Returns when we were introduced to the character Donald Blake who also recognized David right away and he also promised not to ask questions about why David is pretending to be dead though after seeing David turn into the Hulk with Thor standing next to him like the girl Don also now is understood why David continued letting people think he was dead and also don't forget that one episode where David returned to his family farm during Thanksgiving where he was reunited with his sister and father who were equally shocked at seeing him alive and the actress who played David's sister was the same actress who played Dr. Katherine Pulaski on Star Trek The Next Generation.

Getting near the last of the Ted Cassidy hulk growling sound effects in this episode. Not long after this Ted Cassidy passed away and for me as a kid back in 78-79 the first time I heard the new voice of the hulk was absolutely gut wrenching. I was very upset never to hear the hulk as the show was intended for him to sound. I never found out until much later why. Ted's growling and roaring of the incredible Hulk absolutely was key for me in the way I perceived the show. Even though Bill was likely my favorite part of the show the hulk and how he looked and sounded was always key for me. Once the voice and wigs constantly changed it went down hill for me. I wish they would remaster the episodes and go back with the audio and add the original Ted Cassidy growls.

Great scene all around, The hulk's sound effects and make up are top notch, All of the actors do a great job. Bill bixby is phenomenal as usual, (May he forever rest in peace) Lou ferigno's physicality is great, Kim Cattrall sells intimidated and in awe at the same time perfectly, Shes also stunning here, one of the most beautiful actresses of the late 70s and early 80s (She's still beautiful today) Also the set is quite impressive for a tv show Side note: this is one of my favourite hulk out scenes, with some of the best lighting and camera work in a hulk out

When I was 15 on a week long school camp, one of the things we did was go down into a coal mine and do a tour some 600 metres underground. Given how dangerous it was, our teachers gave us a choice. Some stayed up top including a couple of the teachers. I went with others down into the mine. In my 46 and a half years on earth, that was easily the scariest thing I have ever done in my life and I seriously don't blame the others for staying up top. If the earth ever gave way while you're that far underground (and we were just on the first level. There were 5 more levels below us) ... you're basically fucked. Thankfully untold tonnes of earth and rock didn't squash us into oblivion.

Gabrielle was surprised to see David turn into the Hulk after telling her why he let the world believe that he was killed in a lb explosion with Elaina Marks. Banner should not be trying to get rid of of Hulk. I mean I understand why he went on the run because others will never understand Hulk but Banner dose. Dose anyone remember the episode titled “Interview With The Hulk” It’s revealed Banner knows Hulk won’t kill because he won’t kill and he knows Hulk is motivated to deal with whatever frustrates or angers him. He even described Hulk’s personality as “Total innocence like a child.” Which technically Hulk is. Hulk was born after the gamma exposure meaning at this point he is only 2. I’m just saying if I were Banner I would accept The Hulk. In fact I sometimes look in the mirror and start wishing I have the ability to transform into Hulk. It would make me a lot more comfortable in school given how many people get beaten up in high school. I wouldn’t have to worry about ever being one of those kids if I had Banner’s powers. Anyway my main point is I’ll never understand why he wants The Hulk gone so badly because I’d love that ability.
