This is the most awesome cover i've ever heard in my life. It's sad that it's not on Spotify anymore, i listened to it daily for years. This was a very unique band that i couldn't share with anyone beacuse the particular genre it fits. Awesome band, and listen to Art by Numbers that were the spiritual succesors.

@Acousticnoiseuk Released a couple of days ago but it's from their Digital Veil sessions. A couple of months ago Henry their bassist released a Facebook status implying that they were broken up...but the other day Dean replied to a Formspring question and said that basically Henry was out of line in his statement...they're all kind of doing their own thing right now (Dean in law school, Travis left for family) so I really hope they're just on hiatus.

@Sodhats I think this works just fine. Just because your lack of taste is in the way and clogging up your ears doesn't mean it doesn't "work". Experimental tracks like this adding metal to classic (which is where Metal was originally truly derrived from), is a pleasant change from the rest of the Metal world.

I think the sound level on this track is ok. This rendition of Bethoven's Midnight Sonata is different than the others (both before and after this one), but in a cool way. Good job folks! I suspect the problem here is peeps hear the subdued levels in the first 3 mins and crank the volume forgetting the increased tempo and energy of the Second Movement (@3:14) onwards.

The band never had any intentions of breaking up. They were on hiatus for a while because the Bassist told everyone he was selling his gear and they were breaking up...but the band is still together and looking to tour :)) Quite frankly, this band is one of the greatest bands eveer. Digital Veil was like Ride the Lightning..now im waiting for The Black Album

I know this is a silly subject to debate upon but I honestly think he would have been astounded by it. Hell I bet ole Ludwig would have been a huge Human Abstract, BTBAM, and Animals As Leaders fan. There is no way that someone with as keen a musical mind as Ludwig Von Beethoven wouldn't be able to see the incredible beauty behind bands like the aforementioned.

Y'all need to spend more time actually looking for new music to listen to. There's hundreds of brilliant artists out there, but nobody is going to feed them to you. You have to get out there and do the leg work, or you'll fall into the same exact trap as every other person as they age, ending up a boomer that listens to the same 50 some odd songs and saying shit like "music is pretty much dead".

They kind of overdid it on the drums on this one, imo. In Digital Veil it's an artistic choice. It's not really clipping but a limiter with too low of a threshold

@MegaEpicwin He's doing a lot of teaching...he just graduated his master's program. I'm pretty sure he does Skype lessons so basically anyone can take a lesson from him. But deep down, I know that guy is a classical guitarist at heart. I think he does THA for the fans, but I'm not sure how much he enjoys it. Though I do really hope he keeps playing with them if they decide to get back together in the future.

It's actually you that doesn't 'get it' - Yngwie has been doing classical inspired and classical covers since the 70's. If I'm not mistaken, he performed a dozen or so songs with the New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra. I didn't say "This needs flashy solos" or any of the other shit you're throwing into my mouth. I'm just saying that this was a pretty poor effort and there have been people doing this, but better, for dozens of years.

Yes. So do kids in high school. THA and BTBAM aren't rare in their talent, they're rare in the fact that they make money off their talent. Most go unnoticed, and the rest don't even try, as they feel they'll never make it. Jason Becker would be an example of someone who would catch their eye, I believe anyway.
