According to my daughter, I am a 'boomer', but I have no idea what a 'Gen Z' is or what their humour involves. And I strongly suspect that it would be best - for me, at least - if it stays that way...
@mygirldarby
@mygirldarby 2 жыл бұрын
@@paulhaynes8045 I doubt it. You're probably not a Boomer if you have a kid who is Gen Z. The youngest Boomers are abt 62 years old. If you were born 1941-1959 (give or take a couple of years), you're a Baby Boomer or a "Boomer." The term comes from the baby boom that happened during and after WWII. If you were born between 1960-1980, you are Gen X. Millenials or Gen Y were born approx. 1981-1999. People born abt 2000-2020 are Gen Z. A generation is roughly 20 years, +/- 2-3 years. I don't think it's best for you not to know about generations and their characteristics, although I fail to see how Dr. Francis in the video has "Gen Z" humor since would be considerd among the oldest of the Millennials, being born in 1981, or the youngest of Gen X. Humor really isn't that much different among the generations. If it were we couldn't look back to old comedians from the past and find them humorous. I find Charlie Chaplin's black and white silent movies hilarious and he is way, way before all of our time.

Human evolution from the moment in wich a monkey lost it's tail and started hanging upside down has been a series of blunders that somehow paidoff : We lost our tail , started brachiating , the body became upright to compensate , It became significantly faster and more agile among the trees , Some came down on two legs , they could move really efficiently and use tools for defence and offence , Others became knuckle walkers and could reach larger sizes , The tailess , brachiating , bipedal tool using monkeys that cook food have discovered agricolture , now everything is extinct

@@Rudol_Zeppili Monkeys are not apes. We are descended from s common ancestor of both apes and monkeys, but not actually from monkeys. @@paulhaynes8045 we literally come from monkeys, all morphological features of ours are from fucking apes which are old world monkeys. Though they could be classified as a sister group, but the last common ancestor between apes and old world monkeys in the sister group hypothesis is morphologically almost identical to the common ancestor/morphotype of old world monkeys, which is a monkey. Consider the existence of New world monkeys, they branched from us 36 - 40 million years ago, they are monkeys. How the hell are apes not monkeys, and more specifically how the hell are humans not monkeys?

Each of these shortcomings has a lot more advantages than disadvantages, except the heart one. Yes we have many bones in our wrists in feet, but they allow more complex movement. Bipedalism is one the most important aspects of our evolution. The knee is held together by a rubber band, but its not like you have infinte space in the knee, only a rubber band fits. Our backs are also not as weak as we think if we properly strenghten postural muscles. We can lift hundreds of punds for Christ sake.

And I thought I had it bad with rabbits as a field of expertise.....! On the other hand, vulcanology would perhaps be best to forge ahead and find humor in melted boots and instantaneously carbonized eggs....not to mention what happens when you get accustomed to them and still go to pick up a fresh bomb sample.... ;)

Ha ha. Hilarious. Very informative, too. I Googled the atrial appendage stuff. It's real medical fact. Awesome. More like this please. You rock. The MC is awesome, too. He is a comedian called "Standup Maths".

I almost skipped this video when I heard the start where I could not hear well enough to understand the host. I'm glad I waited.

He's basically saying he can do better. Like somehow he can beat what nature made over Millions of years if we go by what they believe. Even knee implants need to be replaced every 20 years. Some 30 due to the wear and tear.

@Wind Rose No we wouldn't. Our inventions looks like intelligence until you see how it was made and realize we just fumbled our way to success. We can't beat nature. We end up copying her on so many things.

5:35 Excuse me, Rohin, you've clearly never had pet mice. They "thrive" off of Mycoplasma. Damn things die from lung disease like flies. If they don't die from cancer that is. I've had mice for quite a while. Poor breeding practices for decades, focused on only appearance, have given them pisspoor health. We're trying to fix it. But, anyway, mice. Lots and lots of colds and pneumonias.

I mean, generations of incest tend to kind of lead to all sorts of health problems. You don't even have to add artificial selection to the mix, but when you do... oh boy. Just look at all those poor purebred dogs.

And rabbits have 'em beat all hollow, between the Pasteurella, Bordatella, and the random, unprintable Trueperella (used to be a Corynebacterium).

Was fun watching! I had to google "Left atrial appendage" and not even wikipedia helped me to translate it to German, so I am still in the process of learning about that little 'dick' in my heart.... 😅 Edit: Vorhofohr -> it not a dick, it is an ear (ohr = ear) 🤣
