One of the greatest electronic tracks ever recorded. "Time stops when you put it on" 🖤

I like Human League after the split, also i like Heaven 17 - but for me Oakey, Marsh and Ware together was the best period of Human League. Even Human League MK2 and H17 were more sucessful - in commerial matter.

I like this song. Travelogue from 1980 is a good album.

i have a tape of the dutch gig on this tour, this sounds like a more adventurous version - more keyboards.. nice job on the visuals..

I remember first time I heard this. It was in the 80's.

I couldn't stand this bland sound any more so I walked towards my deck to turn it off. All I could see was the B-side of the disc which had assumed a doughnut shape with the label on the outside rim. I reached for the arm which was less than one micron long but weighed more than Saturn and time stood still. I knew I had to escape but every time I tried to flee, the record was in front of me.

Is this from the tour the band had to go ahead with after Bob Last, their manager, had engineered the split? It was heavily covered in the music weeklies, I seem to recall. The first song in the set list was Judas Priest's 'Take On the World'.

Is this live version so unique or is there a demo version that sounds the same? I only find the final version from the 1980 album "Travelogue". It's the part at 1:57 making it sound more interesting instead of the much too clean Travelogue version.

I remember the rumor back in the day was that this song was about Gary Numan's instant pop fame.

you mean their jealousy (which they have all admit to) of his success.
@chrisgibson52675 жыл бұрын
Strangely enough; I wondered the same thing myself. OMD were certainly surprised by his success.
@trevorday42815 жыл бұрын
@@chrisgibson5267 I don't understand OMD's jealousy as it was Gary Numan who gave them their break by having them as his support act for the Touring Principle tour in 1979...
@Garylpool1 Жыл бұрын
OMD were and never have been jealous of Gary Numan. Martyn Ware admits he was jealous but admits he was very wrong
