The Hungarian border village helping Ukraine's refugees: ’Humans are all the same’

In the village of Beregsurány, on the Hungary-Ukraine border, a crowd of volunteers are tending to refugees flooding in, cooking them pancakes, and helping them to continue their journeys.

I have been to Budapest recently, the war had already started so maybe there was a lot of tension since hungary borders with Ukraine. Anyway, i have never been treated so badly, ever. People were really rude towards me and my friends, and prejudice led me to think badly about hungarian people, especially about their behaviour towards foreigners. Really nice to see this video and see some nice people helping refugees. However, really don’t get what’s the difference between white and black refugees. As hungarian and other eastern european countries never welcomed refugees from Syria and middle east

I'm Hungarian and there is a mistranslation. The guy didn't said "I am on pancakes" he said they made pancakes. Another smaller one when they written "pancake day" rather than pancake party. (Where Putin could have been invited in regards of peace)

The families are separated - the women cry for their relatives, husbands, parents, and friends in Ukraine... it is a Humanitarian Apocalypse from a Biblical Scale! From a military perspective - because of this lunatic that chantage the whole world with the nuke bombs, your country does not offer any weapons... The European Union has decided to impose economic sanctions on its member state Poland, even as the countrie deal with the influx of over 2.000.000 millions Ukrainian refugees in the last 3 weeks and estimates that up to about 7 million more people may come. European Parliament voted overwhelmingly in favour of these sanctions on Poland in the middle of the unfolding humanitarian crisis. The European Parliament decided yesterday on 2022.03.10 to punish Poles for - "discrimination against refugees and the lack of democracy" etc ... with billions of penalties. The European Union persecutes Poland, inventing new reasons and demands that Poles pay the European Union multi-billion penalties. This is the first time I've ever heard anyone mentioning the law passed by the Ukrainian government, before the war, banning the use of minority languages. Polish, Romanian, Hungarian, Moldovan and Russian. Pretty shitty move, considering that 20% of Ukraine's population is made up of these ethnic groups. Flies in the face of EU's ethos.

Let us not forget that Hungary is now helping the Ukrainian people, who have hurt and terrorized the Hungarian minority in Ukraine in recent decades. The people who are now cared for in Hungary are also likely to have taken part in the atrocities against Hungarians. This is the big difference between the two nations.

Did you notice that there is no Ukrainian man in the video? The Ukrainian government banned men from leaving Ukraine. Only women and children come from Ukraine. In 2015, however, men came from the south. Not women and children, but men. This is the big difference between the two situations.

The European Union has decided to impose economic sanctions on its member state Poland, even as the countrie deal with the influx of over 2 millions Ukrainian refugees in the last 3 weeks. European Parliament voted overwhelmingly in favour of these sanctions on Poland in the middle of the unfolding humanitarian crisis. The European Parliament decided yesterday on 2022.03.10 to punish Poles for - "discrimination against refugees and the lack of democracy" etc ... with billions of penalties. The European Union persecutes Poland, inventing new reasons and demands that Poles pay the European Union multi-billion penalties. Apart from that EU also not pays Poland payments from the European fund that all countries of this union receive every year. Now there are over 2 million refugees in Poland. Poles opened the border, hearts, their homes and wallets for the victims of the war.

Why the suffering? What lessons can we learn from history. Today, we watch on while history repeats itself in the Ukraine, because leaders make the same mistakes again and again. A virtual repeat of the leadup to WW1, as history "rhymes" in eternal cycles. On the micro level, only a fool would try to ensure own safety, by making friends 200 miles away. No, of course, a strong neighborhood, and support of a competent local police is what people choose. Yet, when it comes to states, and empires, leaders become erroneous in their decisions on alliances or co-operation. Choosing a faraway state or empire to ensure own interests, is simply not a good idea. *A lesson I fear which will never be learnt.* Re. the British Empire at the time, and their self-appointed role of Pax Britannica "defenders of the world" (lol) Lord Palmerston stated: “Therefore I say that it is a narrow policy to suppose that this country or that is to be marked out as the eternal ally or the perpetual enemy of England. We have no eternal allies, and we have no perpetual enemies. Our interests are eternal and perpetual, and those interests it is our duty to follow.” And regarding the post-WW2 Pax Americana as the new alpha USA took over the role of "protectors of the world" (lol again), Henry Kissinger repeated the policy almost verbatim for the American Century: “America has no permanent friends or enemies, only interests”. Has anybody ever explained what such a policy meant in practice? *It means that if the safety of "poor you" wherever you live, doesn't serve the "interests" of these kind eternally smiling gentlemen, you'll be coldly written off with a few "thoughts and prayers".* It means the slimy deceitful "Albions" and their modern associates and political inheritors expect you (personally) to be there to advance their interests today, but that they probably won't be around to protect you tomorrow... *Solution: If they won't be around to protect you tomorrow, to hell with them today.* A lesson I fear which will never be learnt...
