@@farah.868basically Peeta had been taken by the capitol and tortured so he wasn’t the same anymore and Katina’s and the rebellion I think saved him and got him back but peeta wasn’t the same and he was aggressive sometimes so katniss said if she had to kill him she wouldn’t be killing the sweet peeta she knew she’d be killing a capitol mutt. And peeta was still partially normal when she said that and he was sad and was like “am I a mutt?” And katniss regretted saying it

To try and make peseta think katniss was bad again. They went from strangers to allies to fake lovers to friends to real lovers not even thinking each other exist because peseta almost killed her, and they went to friends at the end to real lovers that just made me love them even more as a cute couple😊
