The first half is supposed to take place before the first movie, whilst the latter half is after the first movie? I think? To clarify, this is the prequel to snow white and the huntsman. The queen trained the villages for the most fierce hunter, which happened to be the huntsman. Somehow their paths are intertwined but we aren't too sure how yet due to the vagueness of the trailer. (If you read the descrip, it says "Long before" Snow White defeated Queen Ravenna.

+Anna Lee Yes, I discovered since then that I was half right. The beginning of the movie specifically states "Long before the evil Queen Ravenna (Theron) was thought vanquished by Snow White’s blade" meaning its a prequel and then Freya resurrects her sister, which occurs after Snow White apparently. So its half prequel, half sequel. I think that the Huntsman former love will only be a part of the first part, the prequel part, since it doesn't make sense unless she too is resurrected.
