Wow! Was this eye opening. I am a Christian man needing self development. This helped frame it biblically. Thank you for the video.

Wow… I quit my job two years ago, in order to teach what you are teaching here. I have been listening to pastors seminarian professors and teachers with doctorates, and I have not found one pastor who teaches biblical headship… And here, you have done it. Congratulations! I wish I could find a man who is teaching as well as you are, but until I do, all I can say is… Keep it up!

ashley, your teachings are spot on and well delivered. for years (on and off) I have followed Gods Word to Women and the works of Dr. Susan and Dr. Eddy Hyatt. There has been such a terrible disservice to the Daughters of the Most High and I have been squashed by a dominant spirit for so many years in different circles and you just bring a refreshing clarity and confirmation to what it is the Word is saying. Be blessed.

Amazing Ms Wille! I'm watching this and I'm at the end of your video and I just said aloud to myself "wow just like how Abraham loved his wife and listened to her wish for him to have the child with the Egyptian slave and then way later he tells her do what she wills with her. He didn't control her!" And as soon as I said it, I felt the Holy Spirit! And I then said she's right (meaning you) and I got goosebumps! I never felt right with the whole 'do everything the man wants/says' thing but so many believe that error. I'm SO glad to have you teach on and explain this. Glory to God! 🙏🏼 I would Love to do Bible Studies with you LoL! God Bless you, Sister Brandi Sweet ❣️

Abraham wasn't modeling biblical headship when he submitted to Sarah, taking the slave girl and creating a baby! That's incorrect. He was putting his wife above the authority of God and what God ordained as what will happen. That wasn't loving his wife by taking her lead and disobeying God. That was failure! He should have lovingly obeyed God and refused to allow her doubt to rule over the hope that God was worthy of trust! A man doesn't submit to His wife. . . without first submitting to God and His will in what it means to love her!

@RoughDraftChristianVids yes I see what you're saying. I agree he should have went to God first and kept waiting. They both got weak in that situation. I was mainly focusing on, as a man, how he listened to her and didn't try and control her. Forgive my ignorance I'm still learning and I don't always remember the bigger picture when I'm focusing on certain points. I've never been able to do or say or focus on more than one thing at a time. I should pray about this. God Bless

Happily married since just after Independence Day 1987! And still crazily, madly in Love. With Jesus central. Jesus is our Leader, I submit to Him and lead my domain. My wife submit to Him and follows right by my side, where she's from. No spare rib, but taken from the man's side where she rules as Queen. We don't have gender roles; we are truly complementary.

But Christ can only save a willing and submitted bride. You cannot save an unwilling and wayward wife until she comes to her senses and repents of her independence.

@ an excellent wife enslaves herself to her excellent husband, wouldn’t this mean that a wife trusts her husband enough to be controlled by him? This reminds me of how women fear sex because she loses control to her husband. Doesn’t the church enslave itself to Christ?

She really has to trust her husbands love to be willingly enslaved, that kind of submission can only come by the Holy Ghost.

@@Nazareyes-zu3ul At salvation, faith is like a seed in the heart planted which will grow over time. It only takes a Mustardseed of faith to believe, but deep trust in the heart and reliance in real time comes through personal experience. The trust of the heart through personal experience causes one to mature in the faith. That trust grows in the heart to enable one to be more and more willing to follow, walk closely with, and obey.

Absolutely. But is this not also how the single man should live? As we are called to love our wives, so too are we called to love our neighbor. The word "love" is used for both. In this sense the Christian Headship model you describe is the same is it not?

Well, yes, and no. The Lord comes first always. You are in his yoke and are led by him to do his will. He is your identity and your heart is guarded from the enemy’s distractions of unnecessary detours, codependency, and snares. You lay down your life to him and let him lead you to the people that you may lay down your life for. Husbands lay down their lives for their wives yes, but with boundaries, as led by the spirit. Otherwise, they will become slaves to their wives. But outside of marriage, the Lord will lead you to help people who will not be a waste of your time as they are a part of his plan. The enemy will tempt you to continually help codependent people so that you will be wasting your time without making a difference, then be too worn out to do what the Lord is calling you to do. Pray for discernment and wisdom and spiritual eyes always let the Lord lead since it is his yoke and his will you want. He will give you your peace and confirmation, and there will be spiritual fruit. We don’t use our human empathy which can come from codependency and unhealed areas of our hearts. Our mercy gifts must be put on a leash, the Lord’s leash (since the mercy gift comes from him), and led by him. We do not lay down our lives for anyone and everyone or we will miss his will for us. In the easy yoke of Christ, you will not burn out unless you are still doing extra things that he has not led you to do or are walking in other heavy yokes. It’s all about boundaries, your sacred space, your hula hoop, and trusting the Lord to do his will in your life, even when it looks different than you would have thought it would.
