They will definitely help you drive the GTE class faster as they also don’t have ABS. The engine braking technique is the same just probably not as fast as a Hypercar

Very good esplanation, just one question: what about brake force in car setup? IE how did you set it for the BMW?
@alexkayracing3 ай бұрын
It is hard at first but you really should get used to using 100% brake force in the hypercars (except maybe the Cadillac). You will have the cars maximum stopping power available this way

Oh you mean the older steering wheel for the BMW? In car selection screen if you choose WEC 1 on the right side of the screen then it should give you the bmw with the older steering wheel

Biggest thing for me is adjusting my braking points as they are about 10m earlier on lmu than on iracing
@alexkayracing5 ай бұрын
That can also be okay, in the example exercises were those braking points I gave about the same as for you in iRacing? If so then you are fine
@10mmGR5 ай бұрын
@@alexkayracing they are earlier than where I brake in iracing. That's what threw me off so much the first time I drove on lmu. Like for entry to le combes I brake just after the curb starts on the left in iracing
@alexkayracing5 ай бұрын
@@10mmGR yeah that’s extremely late for a braking point, I think even an alien driver wouldn’t be braking there for Le Combes. Just one of the different between the two sims I guess
@10mmGR5 ай бұрын
@@alexkayracing lol yeah I would spin the car on entry every time in lmu trying that. Eventually my stupid self finally realized it's a different sim maybe the braking points are different. Took me about 6 more laps slowly backing up the braking point to get it right
@alexkayracing5 ай бұрын
@@10mmGR yeah there’s quite a few differences between the hypercars on LMU compared to the GTP, especially the low amount of grip you have in slow corners in LMU and the way the battery deployment works compared to iRacing.

nice. Most ACC Gamers don't know hou to brake a car, because there, they only learned to "STOMP" as hard as you can. That has nothing to do with real life. Now they have to learn how to drive a car correctly. =D
@alexkayracing5 ай бұрын
You can definitely see the difference. I’m currently reviewing the Moza R5 wheelbase and the pedals are not loadcell. In ACC I can use them okay, but in LMU I just keep locking up everywhere cos I have no resistance in the brake pedal .
@wolfherold6575 ай бұрын
@@alexkayracing exact. Because in ACC you can use a button for breaking. No pedals needed. on / off is enough.

So I get what you’re teaching here, but the Anti lock Brakes is something we can switch off. Some races have that turned off and have us solely rely on skill. So it’s not that they don’t have ABS which they do, but it’s a function we can toggle on or off, preferably off for practice.
@alexkayracing4 ай бұрын
Hey mate, these cars do not have an ABS system in real life. ABS assist is in the game the same thing as the ABS assist is available in the F1 games. It’s an arcade assist to help more casual players enjoy the game in beginner races and single player. In higher level races (intermediate/weekly/advanced/etc.) the ABS assist is not allowed and cannot be turned on. Therefore it’s imperative that anyone who wants to drive these cars well will need to learn the techniques covered in this video. However that being said, when the GT3 car class releases in the game later this year; those cars do feature an actual ABS system in real life and hence will feature a “non-arcade” version of the assist in game too.
@hollywoodkid91954 ай бұрын
@@alexkayracing I know they don’t have ABS. Funny thing is whenever I look at those advanced servers that don’t allow ABS on hypercars and LMP2, they are basically empty. It’s hard to get into those servers bcuz most of those so called “ pro “ sim guys, keep relying on ABS.
@alexkayracing4 ай бұрын
@@hollywoodkid9195 I think it’s more that the advanced races are a very long time apart from eachother that is the issue. They are also open setup so beginners who don’t know much about car setups might not want to enter those races. The weekly and special events however are definitely where it’s at. Longer 1-2 hour races with big multiclass grids; always fun
