In the world of Naruto there exist many clans in each ninja village and Konoha houses some of the most dangerous clans to ever exist. Many people bring up the Uchiha clan, but often overlooked is the Hyuga Clan. Their kekkei genkai is valued by many from outside the village, so much so that the clan needed to go to extreme measures to ensure that non Hyuga clan members couldn't gain access to the Byakugan easily. Their gentle fist fighting style is one of the deadliest forms of taijutsu and when used in battle correctly it can effectively end a battle with even some of the deadliest of opponents. Their visual dojutsu, the Byakyugan, grants them virtually zero blind spots when it is used in battle and almost no one who fights the Hyuga clan in battle lives long enough to discover the one weakness of the eye. Without a doubt the Hyuga clan is both the most powerful clan in Konoha and the most underrated clan in the village as well. Though the Hidden Leaf Village has four noble clans, the fact of the matter is that not all of these noble clans are equal. The Uchiha are all but extinct, with only Sasuke and his daughter surviving. The Hyuga clan has gone through many controversies and storms, but they've survived from the founding of Konoha all the way to the era of Boruto Naruto Next Generations! Yeah, that was my expectation when Naruto: The Last and Boruto start released. But till eps 200 no further spotlight on this clan. I mean, the byakugan is used by every otsutsuki. As boruto fans always stated, those Otsutsuki is the strongest and godly tier villain. Even a single low-class member (Kaguya) almost won against the whole shinobi world. But so far, the byakugan only useful to see someone naked.

Here’s a good idea I feel kishimoto should’ve added in: Adding elemental chakra to their gentle fist style. Wind chakra to increase the power of the 8 trigrams: air palm and the palm rotation Lightning style to make the gentle fist style and the 8 trigrams: 64 and 128 palms deadlier. Maybe some people could add fire chakra to the palm rotation to make that more deadlier.

A Hyuga member with either Sage Mode, The Hundred Healings Seal, or the 8 Gates would have been broken (especially with Sage Mode). A Hyuga already specialize in speed and precision, adding the 8 Gates on top of it would be overkill against most people. With the Hundred Healings Seal, they would have a stupid amount of chakra to use to spam their jutsu. Imagine a Hyuga being able to spam Air Palm, Rotation, and 64 Palms. They would also have an easier time with mastering it since Hyugas are naturally gifted with great chakra control. If Hinata had it, she could use Twin Lion Fists (which absorb chakra on contact) to continuously replenish it in a fight. A Sage Mode Hyuga sounds like one of the scariest things to face in the series. Having near 360 long ranges x-ray vision on top of the sensory buff granted by sage mode means no one could hide from them. All of their jutsu would be enhanced with sage chakra, making them even more deadly. The range of their gentle fist would increase. When they use the gentle fist, they could, in theory, inject sage chakra instead of their own chakra to slowly turn someone into a stone frog (assuming they can't control nature energy, which most people can't). Going back to Hinata, while she is in sage mode, and if she decided to use the Twin Lion Fist, not only would she not be using her own chakra, but she would constantly be restoring it as well.

He should've done a whole new Hyuga clan buildup in the Boruto era with people like Hanabi, Hinata, Hiashi, Ko and Himawari and few others getting a lot of shine as being capable shinobi instead of being forced to be very minor background characters in the grand scheme of things. They already got shafted by Kishimoto in favor of the Uchiha in Naruto so let's hope they will get their own massive due in this series which uses a lot of Otsutsuki, who partially fight like them. I'm really hoping that Himawari, Hinata and, especially Hanabi, due to being a new Jonin get a heck of a lot of development and shine. TBE , The Tenseigan is awakened by the Combination of The Hyuga and Otsusuki to lead to the eye of their proprietor ( I'm not even sure if he himself has it or not coz his supposed Twnseigan was apparently the Energy vessel but nvm), but it isnt possible for a hyuga to obtain it coz they dont have Otsusuki Genes as they arent aliens and have settled on the Earth for atleast a thousand years , and there will be genetic variations resulted by it . Let me get this straight , It is formed by the Mixing of the Chakras of Hyugas and Otsusukis , but the Hyuga cant awaken it coz otherwise , Hanabi would and should have had the Tenseigan coz Her origin eye , which was stolen by Toneri n in which the Tenseigan had awakened revered back to the Byakugan . The novel also makes it very clear that it can _only_ arise in Otsusukis by obtaining Hyuga eyes and not vice versa . It doesn't even make sense for Hanabi to have it coz she never had such a prominent role , the Tenseigan isnt even needed on the earth tbh

Its stupid how dirty the byakugan was done.... Sharingan was the eye that let the user predict and copy motions Byakugan had scouting ability and could see chakra flow Bullshit power scaling just because itachi needed to be stronger than kakashi, then sasuke needed to be stronger than itachi, then obito needed to be stronger, then madara, then sasuke again on top. -Itachi needed to one up kakashi so stronger version of Sharingan created. It can cast ultimate genjutsu or ultimate ninjutsu (that cool, but amaterasu didn't fit the sharingan's profile. Ultimate genjutsu kinda fits theme of mind fuckery theme, so makes more sense, but idk, 1 tomoe then 2 then 3 were just upgraded perception. Next stage could have been something more along the lines of what was established) -Kakashi needed his own power up after 2 years, so he unique sharingan power (sending physical things to another dimension long range makes no sense for sharingan honestly) -Sasuke could see chakra as different colors... (totally creeping on byakugan ability... i don't think they should have given the sharingan this ability, but Sasuke needed power up....) -Sasuke needed to be stronger than itachi, so now his sharingan could see through genjutsu (ehh... seems like something more suited for byakugan since it can actually see chakra flow, but alright) -Dual Mangekyou can create (pretty much) indestructible giant warrior avatar out of chakra (WHERE DID THIS BULLSHIT COME FROM?? Kishimoto wrote himself into a corner wit Kirin and Itachi needing to survive it.... stupid...) (Also, Hyuga could do rotation technique by leaking out chakra from body while spinning, supposed to be impenetrable shield, again, bit of stretch but what if they didn't have to spin and could mold the shape of the chakra from body. There... same idea of ultimate defense but fits Hyuga ability better) -The basic sharingan can fucking rewrite reality???? (This is beyond stupid... WHY?? Obito should have died. Then its said that Naruto didnt take up his Dads surname coz His dad had a lot of Enemies but his Surname is uzumaki , the same clan which was feared and assassinated for its abilities and een kidnapped his mother when she was small . And then he makes Sakura fight Sakura , although with the Help of Chiyo , fight Sasori and she is basically able to read his moments at the first meeting but then she is hit by Omoi . I think the Hyuga are definitely the strongest clan since with exception of Naruto, Sasuke there probably isn't a leaf ninja that could stand up to most of the Hyuga in battle.i think they are capable of so much more than has been shown and I also think they limit themselves by focusing on the gentle fist to much and developing all that you could do with the dojutsu. My favorite example is if they became puppet masters they could fight with 361 puppets which is more than the greatest puppet master and he had to use body modifications to do so

In my opinion, they are a successful clan as they focused on abilities based on their eyes compared to the Uchihas. Yes the Hyugas have political issues which hinders the clan but still successful. The Uchihas on the other hand are solo warriors with huge individuality. If from a young age they train every member on all nature transformation, sword, sealing jutsu, various weapon as well as hone their speed they could do anything. During the warring periods when every clan avoided an uchiha-senju conflict, most uchihas fought before wakening their Sharingan so they didn't focus on their Sharingan until they awakened it, they fought just like the senjus. The uchihas are basically senjus with alien eyes for cheat code but not the life force. They can learn any jutsu's the gentle fist(except the full body ones), the shadow imitation, the mind control(yes i know the Sharingan can do that on it's own) and so many other hidden techniques, they would be invisible.

Nope. Strongest clans in the leaf village are the senju and uchiha clans. The hyuuga are only limited to their gentle fist, rotation and byakugan. They mostly, prioritize on close hand to hand combat because that's what they can do best. But when you have clans that can do long, medium and short range attacks then you are officially screwed.
