Michelle, I grew up in the countryside, lived in a town for several years, now back to the quiet country lifestyle. And believe me it can get very quite...But to visit friends in a big city especially the weeks leading to Christmas, the sights, sounds, decorations, lights, markets; you’re just immersed in the magic of Christmas. Who cares if the weather is freezing. No matter how jaded you felt, now everything is so perfect. Is there any better feeling? How about another New York story next year Michelle? I’d have thunder & lightning in all your stories, yep even on a tropical beach scenario! And people say they don’t understand my sense of humour. Happy Christmas and I truly hope next year is free from any pain and heartbreak you suffered this year.

I love going through your seasonal meditations. It's been -50c on a regular basis for a week; so finding peace with winter is comforting. Especially true after dealing with a bratty puppy not letting me sleep

Oh I remember when my puppy was a total brat and I would wake up every few hours so he could be potty trained. Now he's an old man I have to beg to wake up in the late morning and go on a walk. I'm so glad you are making peace with winter. I did not do that much of my life and the best shift I ever made was embracing it and building these months around being cozy. Now that castle Michelle would make the perfect setting for a ghost story. Doesn’t have to be terrifying, just the right amount of suspense. Crashing thunder & lightning, or clear moonlit night with howling of distant wolves. Your voice, our imagination, now this would be perfect for New Years Eve.
