This is super, super magical and I can totally imagine it as soon as I started listening. And, yes, thundersnow is soooo a real thing. I heard it for the first time last year! One more thing, I've listened to several of your videos and love every one. I was, though, almost hesitant to listen to this one only because it said ASMR and listening to anything ASMR is the worst thing in the world for people with misophonia, but I was actually able to listen to your story with no ASMR triggers lol. Thank you so much for that even though you didn't know it. 😁

I enjoy listening to these so much as I try to fall asleep, suffering from loud ringing ears also known as tinnitus. I think it would be cool to see a behind-the-scenes video. Show how you write all these stories. I'm also interested in how you compose the soundtrack and the sound effects for these and mix them all down. I am a radio studio engineer and am always interested to see how audio and video projects are created. I think others would be interested as well. By the way, I try to stay awake long enough during this story to hear the part about the pair of rabbits hopping through the snow. I am often asleep before that point in the story.

I have been diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and often I find one of the biggest symptoms to be restlessness at night. Your stories calm my mind and give me something to fixate on, while also lulling me to sleep just like my grandmother (who was a storyteller at a library) used to do on cozy nights spent at her house. Thank you so much!

This is the sweetest comment and thank you for sharing, Ruby. I've struggled with anxiety at times in my life and I know getting sleep and finding meditations to help really changed my life. It inspired me to start this channel. And I often go to thoughts of my grandmother's cozy home when I want to unwind. Keep taking care of yourself! 💜

My mums mum was a teacher and at one stage taught english to people in japan. She was a story teller and i loved the stories she told of places far away. My mum and I inherited her story ability while my aunties and my sister are teachers. I love to tell stories that teach others and i am so grateful for the lessons i learn from Michelle's stories and meditations. Blessings, Dot

I have been going through a very stressful time for quite a number of years And came across Michelle's sanctuary recently, it's the one think that's helped me to calm my mind before trying to get to sleep. I look forward to hearing the stories each night, this week I've been listening to them throughout the day as I'm recovering from a terrible reaction from a medication prescribed me which suffice to say I've stopped. Listening to your stories has helped take the edge off of the horrid side effects. They have helped with my dreams to as having lost our mum this year there have been terrible nightmares the dreams can be calmer listening to your stories. Thank you so very much. Big hugs 🤗💐

I am so glad they are helping your dreams and sorry for the loss of your mom. Sometimes when my subconscious is too much, I will actually let it know before I go to sleep that I am okay with subtle messages and don’t need the vivid nightmares. I hope you continue to find healing and your inner calm with these stories and meditations. I’m so glad you’re part of this sanctuary. 💜

Same here.. I see the title and picture and get excited.. It's a treat to actually have an actual story told told to you that is fictional. Michelle's voice kinda made me laugh a little on this one.. I went from "A walk in central park"to this.. and it almost sounds like a different person. But I really enjoy her videos. Michelle Def puts 100 percent into her videos and it shows. Especially on those nites that we need a break from reality. I'm so soo sick and tired of hearing about Covid at every given second.. The minute I wake up.. On the news. Internet. To the stores with people in masks.. It's a constant reminder that were not OK. But these make it bearable. Thank you so much Michelle!💜💖💞💟👏

Most of these sleep meditation things make the same mistake: way too much babbling. They need to adopt the less is more approach. The idea is to get people to turn off their minds which is very difficult to do when someone keeps filling your mind with too many words and too much information.
@MichellesSanctuary7 жыл бұрын
Interesting. You may be better suited with music and nature sounds. One of the issues with less is more is any breaks within a hypnotic spoken recording that are filled with music or silence can cause someone to be very startled when a voice comes back. It seems to work for many people, but if not for you then I’d definitely suggest white noise and nature sounds. A lot less babbling there.
@calmlyeverafter32486 жыл бұрын
I appreciate the long talking because it takes time to shut my mind off and it helps me take the time to appreciate being in the moment. Before I know it I'm off to la-la land. Life is short enough. Everything doesn't have to be.

I love you longer versions, Michelle. Well, I should clarify: I love all your work; haven’t found a single one that isn’t lovely, deeply relaxing and nurturing in its own way, no matter the locale, subject or method you’re using. But my insomnia has so severe it often takes more than one listen to a typical length recording before I start to drift off. (And dream away!) The longer ones, especially when you continue talking longer help prevent the wakefulness that occurs when the usual length recording ends and I need to listen again or to another. They all bring such a sense of calm, peace and security. Bless you for bringing such blessings to us!

@Tarm Dreaneen, Sad that feel a need to express something in such an unnecessarily harsh, ugly way. If her voice didn’t suit, that’s fine, we’re all different, but why not simply try another station or style rather than saying something in a mean spirited way. If you notice, there are thousands of us who deeply appreciate and benefit from her voice, in whichever style she happens to be speaking. I hope you find a voice/storyteller that suits you and manage to find calm. Perhaps it will lessen your bitterness.

The first half of the meditation is like the perfect meditation. Ive been meditating for years and The imagery and story you use was perfect! But towards the second half when I just want to relax theres to much talking and switching up of imageries and I just wish there was some silent spaces inbetween. Just a thought. Thankyou! Michelle

I completely understand where you are coming from. Maybe I should revisit and do an edited version. Everyone responds differently. I know some people get startled in situation where there is too much spacing and too many silent pauses and a voice comes back. I plan on doing some more snowy cabin themed videos in the coming months and really appreciate your feedback!
