Most important part of the episode is Melfi telling Tony about that book about how to handle senior citizens. She says something to the effect “give them the illusion they still have power.” Tony takes that and employs it on Uncle June. Makes him “boss” while he still runs things.

I believe funerals and certain other events don’t count towards criminal conspiracy charges, so that’s why they’re able to all attend; which is why the FBI also attends. Helps them put together who’s who but still can’t use it as evidence.

Today's mob actually avoid attending funerals and clubhouses now, it was a great way for the FBI to find out who's a member and their ranks by how much respect they are shown. It's working for them as in the Genovese family for instance we don't know the identities of many of the made guys.

The guys who went after Christofer were not part of Junior’s crew. They were Russians, which was why Chris thought they were friend’s of Tony’s (Russian) girlfriend. They were just some outside people Junior’s people contracted for the job. If they had been part of Junior’s crew, he would definitively known them.

Nice discussion. Wondering how you'll react to the next one; in a way, it's the episode that shows what Chase wants to do with the series: tiny movies that build from previous episodes, as opposed to the Breaking Bad style of telling a single, big story per season(s).

I have to say boys, I habe seen your channel alot before but always choose too not watch it because I always thought 3 men in a podcast setting is always too loud and shit. I was wrong, now i will go back and check whatever else u have watched. Great comments etc. Sopranos is alot about the abstract but also not. Some things any character says that might sound "really important" for the show might actually just be character building. But you guys are doing great.
