A lot of the uprisings were extinguished by other African slaves who were promised better treatment or were threatened to tell what they knew. Some had their lives threatened or knew that the rebels had nowhere to go and their uprising was futile because they had no ships or food. No guns or CONNECTIONS to sustain their cause. They knew that everyone would be punished in the aftermath. They didn’t want to lose the little bit that they did have. It’s still the same story. Losing the Muslim Tawheed was crucial, though. That allowed the Christian/Catholics to conquer with impunity.
