Greatly appreciate your encouragement to NOT be silent when you have concerns for your country. The PM in Britain threatening Americans for speech is pretty much the last straw…especially when the Metropolitan Police’s standard for hate speech is “I don’t like what you said”!

Well said Kevin! Both of my parent's came to the US from Ireland back in the late '50s. They never took a dime from the country, worked hard raised our family and had a successful, happy life here. The abuse of the system here is terrible and from what I hear from my family in Ireland is things are getting worse!

Irish person here. I know loads of Irish people that went to England and sat on the dole for years and abused the free health care system and did sweet F.A., contributing little to British society. The IRA killed hundreds of people in England who had nothing to do with the troubles. Our priests abused thousands of children in England. Irish people were heavily involved in crime and drugs during the 60s up to today. Spare me the crap that we were perfect immigrants.

Thanks for putting this out Kevin. I think the problem with the anti immigration movements in Ireland and England is that its still a disorganized majority. All revolutions begin with an organized minority, just like: The Russian Revolution, The French Revolution, The Iranian Revolution and indeed the Irish Revolution.

Kevin great to see you covering this topic. What you are saying is so true, Ireland has been generous regarding immigration, and most people are not far right or biggots/nazis etc. They (the government and media) are labelling everyone who even questions immigration as "far right". I believe its a narrative that is stemming from Europe. Most countries birthe rate is in decline and the EU are looking to immigrants to beef up the numbers regarding workers to pensions ratio. The real problem with EU birthdate decline is young people cannot afford to have children in their early or even late twenties, because property and childcare is sooooo expensive. We will always have immigration, it should be controlled and meet the needs of the country. Currently of thousands of asylum seekers who were rejected and asked to leave have not left... Imagine....asking them to leave!! A wider problem is the vast amounts of money EU countries give in aid to African/Middle Eastern countries, which ends up with the crooked governments and buying Russian weapons, while their people are neglected and left to live in squalor which drives emigration. The woke bridge are taking over, saying a man cannot be a woman is now illegal under equality laws and more is on the way. The Hate Speech Law here is coming, its been villified in the wider population but government are not listening. You are correct too about the political parties, they are all the same, even sinn fein. Stay safe and hope you and the family are good.

Kevin I served in middle east like yourself, I said 20 odd years ago to my freinds when Europe start getting increasing amount of Islam that it wouldn't end well . Now I'm not racist but some cultures just shouldn't be forced to live together, its very naive of western governments to think that having Islam in europe would be a success story . I lost count at the time of watching Muslim clerics saying they were coming to take over europe on Internet videos.

I'm seven minutes in and just thought I would comment to your points about assimilation: I lived in northern Italy through college and what was striking was the large Moroccan presence and even more so the the physical division between their community/commerce/etc -their young men 20-35yrs old would resort to crime, often having an entirely different sleep schedule in order to sell weed till 4am to bar crawlers or ambush/rob them of their cell phone and wallet in a dark park. It makes me think to what degree the host country was responsible for allowing such a lifestyle dichotomy to exist (maybe, when you're an economic migrant, there is no desire to assimilate only to survive). Thoughts?

Thank you Kevin for addressing my comment on immigration in Ireland. I felt like you could give a unique perspective on the subject. And also addressing the fact that that could happen here in the US at any moment. What I observed in the videos I watched which were of course your standard CNN BBC all the fake news, that there were 3 factions in the street. First common everyday hard-working Ordinary People protesting against the violence perpetrated against them. Second there was a group of antifa like hoodlums doing most of the burning and rock throwing the third faction was of the Muslim Community both good and bad counter protesting. So again thank you for weighing in on this subject and I wish you great success in all your endeavors. And may you train good soldiers for the defense of our country.

I'd correct you on one common myth. The Irish did not emigrate to the four corners, they never emigrated to Africa, Asia or the Middle East. They went to European colonies, that's all. There's no justification for the mass importation of thousands of Africans, Asians and Arabs into Ireland. The argument used to beat the Irish down morally is 'The Irish went all over the world' otherwise excellent analysis 👍🏻

I lived in Asia from 1994 through 2019 and met many Irish who had immigrated to various asian countries over the years. I met 2nd generation "Irish" living in asian countries also. Maybe they didn't immigrate in the same numbers as those that went to European colonies but I do agree that the Irish immigrated to the four corners of the globe ;)

Great stuff Kev, I fully agree with your thoughts about labelling everyone who even questions immigration as "far right". There is, in my opinion, a far-right problem in Europe and elsewhere, but just because you question a certain immigration policy does not necessarily mean you are a fascist. Proper legal immigration into a country has huge benefits for that country, as you yourself are a prime example.

I think there’s a big difference between people from the Middle East and people from Mexico. - we definitely need to worry about nationals from other countries at the southern border, but it’s a vastly different scenario that what’s going on in Europe, they aren’t vastly different cultures like what’s going on in Europe.if it’s like, a woman and a child from South America or Mexico, which the vast majority are, they’re typically very similar culturally, being Christian and socially conservative and they typically assimilate very well into the USA.

I work for a company that has an office in Shannon/Ireland and my particular team has 8 people from Shannon. we have a daily standup that is usually business stuff, but at slow times the conversation will drift to current events, politics etc. All 8 of the people on the team, as well as other Ireland folk in other meetings making comments, not a single person has expressed opposition to the immigration stuff and they all also make sure to be clear they hate Trump. I can't believe they all feel that way, I work for a company that is pretty woke, with a pink hair VP of HR and a green hair DEI officer, both from Ireland. I think they take such a hard stance in support of everything because they are scared to be seen as racist or whatever buzzwords are current. I just keep my mouth shut, I don't come to work to talk about politics or immigration. I thought it was interesting though that every single Irish person toes the same line.

I work in an Irish hospital so I can give you a bit of insight. The corporate side of the hospital is very woke, leading all staff, in all roles, to publicly support whatever woke agendas are currently being marketed to the populace. However, my role puts me in contact with all levels of staff, ie management, nursing, cleaners, admin, chaplains, doctors. I find that the majority of workers when given a safe chance to speak, will have every reasonable concern for Ireland that we could hope for. It's just not safe to speak freely and still expect a good career. A teams meeting would make me very cautious so I'm sure your colleagues would voice different opinions in a pub venue. One last thing. People in Ireland who truly support the mass migration, generally own at least one house, or stand to inherit one (they won't need to compete with a million migrants for social housing). They very likely live in areas not affected by migration (no large groups of migrants hanging around). They very likely have no problems seeing a family doctor when they need one (which is a giant issue for the working class) and they seem to always hold belief in every other controversial extreme left phenomenon (if they are free thinkers, what are the chances of that?) Sorry for the long post. Sláinte.

Its true Ireland was one of the poor countries of Europe till about the late 1980s. However something happened to Ireland in the 1990s. There was a massive economic boom in Ireland investment from the EU. Companies from the EU, US, Canada, Japan, South Korea etc set up their bases for Europe in Ireland. A lot of investment came into Ireland in the 1990s especially from corporate companies from U.S. but other wealthy countries as well. This investment in the Irish economy really made Ireland prosper in the 1990s and by the mid to late 1990s. More and more jobs were being created in Ireland as a result of the massive change in the Irish economy in the 1990s. 1990s was a very good decade for Ireland. Truth be told 1990s was a very good decade for America, Australia, Canada, NZ, mainland Europe countries and most of the western world as well. Ireland defintely benefitted from the stable and good situation in the west in the 1990s. More and more immigrants from around the world were moving to Ireland by year 2000 was becoming prosperous. Even a few Americans, Canadians and Aussies of Irish descent whose ancestors left Ireland 100 or 150 years previous moved back to Ireland. By year 2000 Ireland mean average income had surpassed the UK. Skilled labour from around the world was to Ireland in the mid to late 1990s and early 2000s because it was prosperous and had now one of the best standards of living for while in the early 2000s in the western world. Its unique geographic location close proximity to UK and Europe and being closest European country to the North American countries of U.S. and Canada made it a desirable place skilled immigrants to move to. But I think slowly there was a policy from Irish and EU govts from all the destabilisations happening in middle east and north africa and africa to accept more and more unskilled immigrants and asylum seekers and others etc which put pressure on their infrastructure and the standard of living started to drop severely as countries were struggling to cope over the last 24 years intensifying severely in the last 10 years to where Ireland and Europe is today. I think Ireland comes under the category of a place immigrants found very desirable to move to. However now ordinary Irish people have had enough with all the legal and illegal immigration into their country. They want their country back like it was before.

There is a problem with immigration in Ireland. A big part of this is legal immigration. There just isn't enough housing and many other services to cope with the endless stream of immigrants from mostly Asia, but also the EU, Africa. Then we have the absurd situation where over 120K Ukrainians were brought into the country and unlike other refugees receive the same social welfare as Irish citizens. Refugees and homeless now occupy around 25% of all hotels on a permanent basis as the situation hits melting point. As much as I blame the EU for their policies, the USA is more to blame with their endless wars causing many to flee their countries. The Ukraine for example if not for the USA pulling them into NATO and pushing them into a war with Russia would not have led to over 120K of them in my country.

I don’t disagree but will add, the greatest mistake made in the USA, was under Jimmy Carter when immigration limitations were removed. Up to that point the country allowed 300,000. Those persons had to: Learn English (we need a national language for fundamental functionality ) and to maintain a culture 2. History. You had to learn the history of the USA 3. Lean the basic rights of our Republic and laws 4. Integrate into our culture Loosing these basic guides of culture preservation coupled with the educational assault upon our children, attack on Christianity and the American family. Lastly The UK governments attacks on its population, and the governments dangerously radical positions, lead me to say 1. The American people kicked your ass once. Not our government, but the people. We can still do that and you (UK government) need to remember that. 2. I encourage every American citizen to reach out to your servant representatives and request that 1. All USA service members be recalled to the USA, all USA bases closed, that all military sales to the UK be suspended. The UK is in the middle of a revolution where that nation is adopting a radical and dangerous form of government and oppression toward the citizens. It is not in keeping with American values and those of sound democracies. It is likely time the UK people adopt the values of a Constitutional Republic and representative form of government.

I will say that America is the only country in the world that does NOT have a legal National language. English was at one time the most widely spoken language but I'm not so sure these days.

Why is it that Europeans migrated all over the world? They have done it for centuries. They actually replaced natives in the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand , yet it was never considered a crisis. There are so many double standards when it comes to immigration. At they end of the day, it seem that only Europeans can migrate without criticism. People are just looking for a better life. Why is it that only Europeans are encouraged to keep their cultures, but not other people? Multiculturalism works as long as the cultures are European dominate.

@@Healthhokie Kevin’s right in his reply I shouldn’t have said not to comment again, it’s his channel and freedom of speech is important. I think you and the American people are extremely misinformed by the media however. The situation in the UK and Ireland is not at all as Kevin describes and he doesn’t know how the people really feel. It’s the same reason why you guys in America still support Israel despite the plain and simple clear as day genocide that they have been committing against the palestinians since 1948. My apologies for the way I worded my previous comment it is inappropriate of me to tell anyone what they can and cannot say and I take no issue with any logical approach. The issue with this video is that it’s a logical approach taken using incorrect information. Simple as that.

@@wowmonstaa2981 ask 10 people to describe an event they all saw together and you'll get 10 different perspectives. Kevin reached out and spoke to people in the UK and Ireland, and spoke from his own experience. I have done the same, spoke to family and friends back home in both countries. I get different takes on what is going on due to everyone having their own opinion. I then formulate my own opinion on what I research myself and what I take in from others in the know. You seem to be taring everyone with the same brush, stating "It’s the same reason why you guys in America still support Israel despite the plain and simple clear as day genocide that they have been committing against the palestinians since 1948". Please do not assume that you know what "every guy" here in America thinks regarding the situation in the middle east, or anywhere else for that matter.

@@donfleming7062 I am yet to see someone in the States with one right wing opinion who doesn’t also espouse every other right wing opinion. It’s a generalisation which will always have exceptions to the rule. I’m not judging anybody by their opinions, for some reason you seem to have taken something I said personally. All I was saying was that what Kevin said about how the people in the UK and Ireland feel about the situation. Calm down 😂. We are all civil here having reasonable conversations.
