From the DGA Archive: a conversation honoring the legacy of game-changing filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola.
As part of the DGA's 75th Anniversary celebration, Directors Paul Thomas Anderson, Catherine Hardwicke and David O. Russell gathered with Coppola to discuss the impact of his filmography on their own careers and others of their generation. 75th Anniversary Advisory Committee Chair Michael Apted served as moderator.
“Film is an ensemble,” said Coppola. “You’re the ringleader, but hopefully you have all of this wonderful work coming out of people whom you inspire, but also inspire you.”
