Funny that how things work and how people assume they work are completely different. Iran makes a lot of effort from their long exceedingly porous eastern border on Balchustan, Pakistan and Afganistan, to Abbas Bandar right at the. Strait of Hormuz, to interdict Heroin, opium paste, cocaine and fentenyl analogs and methamphetamine. Supposedly 1000 traffickers per year are shot; supposedly 3700 drug officers a year die in the course of doing their duty. Puts a whole new spin on it doesn't it?? Not only is Iran a major user of drugs, but a manager of both product and cash flow. They also grow large quantities of opium poppy, as well as move the huge Afganistan crop. Right thru Tehran, to Istanbul on to the EU, AND north to Moscow. Do you suddenly GET a few lightbulbs about how alliances are formed, and why sanctions aren't working. The supposed medicine shortage narrative should also now be understood as available, smuggled, controlled scarcity and profiteering by Iranians against Iranians. Understand also that the Persians skim, both product and cash transfers, provide passage for some and seize and confiscate for the less hooked up freelancers. Explains both "law" and "criminal" KIAs. Also explains where those 17 'CIA' agents came from. Endless supply of fall guys.
