In Austria, the far-right Freedom Party is celebrating its first parliamentary election victory, winning around 29 percent of the vote according to preliminary results. The party has vowed to create what it calls a fortress against migrants. Chancellor Karl Nehammer's governing conservatives came in second, and have indicated they won't form a coalition with the Freedom Party under its current leader.

Soon, there will be no one left who can pay taxes. Herbert Kickl is not exactly innocent of the fact that nobody wants to work with him. In addition to the political differences, his attitude towards other parties is very aggressive and hostile. In a state where you can't govern without coalitions, you have to be more willing to compromise. Kickl, on the other hand, is always geared towards confrontation. That may work in the final phase of an election campaign, but he always adopts a hostile stance. Even the AFD in Germany is more reserved in its public communication.

@@silviualbisoru5749 I can imagine that voters feel cheated. However, the electoral system only works with coalitions and these should be carefully considered. In Germany, for example, the liberal party FDP entered into a coalition with the SPD and the Greens and thus lost the majority of its own voters. Such coalitions are a complex subject and the parties should be at least somewhat politically compatible. If this is not the case, you quickly lose your own voters if you work together with a party that does not fit your own political image. France is definitely an extreme example. The state is virtually no longer governable. The question that needs to be asked is whether the electoral system is still up to date. I wouldn't blame the parties themselves, everyone is trying to take advantage of the situation.

BIG MISTAKE, - if Austrian politicians don't acknowledge their existence and the issues that got them elected. It will only backfire. Swedish politicians tried to exclude their similar "rightwing" party from all influence, when it won its first landslide election. That only coursed them to win even more voters second time. The established politicians started slowly to interact with them, but it wasn't before their 3.and even bigger win, that they could no longer be ignored. Since other parties started dialog with them and actually listened and acknowledged the real problems (with Immigrants), this "rightwing" party has lost some of their voters. All people wanted, was for the politicians to acknowledge, that there are real problems with certain immigrants.
