Digging wells, caring for orphans gets their attention right at their heart, then they will listen to the gospel. I don't care how much you know until i know how much you care.

In the great commission we were told to spread the gospel. It doesn’t say buy their attention so people will listen. The sheep hear the call and come, the goats do not. Don’t give sheep goat food. Good works are a side effect of being a Christian. If we all had to build an orphanage, dig a well, or do some other feat to reach people first, we would need a lot more than just a Bible to reach people.

I forsee a problem for those left behind. For example, the movies about being left behind always implies that the "tomb" will be empty. Wrong! The remains will be there. Jesus's body was moved for the same reason as Moses. Jesus's new body was so different he had to prove it.

The movies and dispensationalists miss the mark on those “left behind.” The kicker is that you want to be the ones left in the field. “As in the days of Noah.” Noah wasn’t taken out of the world, all of the others were taken.

@myfairhands I did not say that the Bible "says " that Jesus had a new body. I surmised that the body was different because not only were He unrecognizable but the flesh is hated in heaven. Jesus is bringing new bodies, a restored spirit to house our sleeping souls. This house of dirt will be left in the grave.

So why do you deny true Christianity pastor? Christianity is one, holy, catholic, and Apostolic: St. Ignatius of Antioch. He was an apostolic father meaning he knew some of the 12 apostles and was a friend of St. Polycarp of Smyrna who himself was trained by the apostle John. “They abstain from the Eucharist and from prayer, because they confess not the Eucharist to be the flesh of our Saviour Jesus Christ, which suffered for our sins, and which the Father, of His goodness, raised up again. Those, therefore, who speak against this gift of God, incur death in the midst of their disputes. But it were better for them to treat it with respect, that they also might rise again. It is fitting, therefore, that you should keep aloof from such persons, and not to speak of them either in private or in public, but to give heed to the prophets, and above all, to the Gospel, in which the passion [of Christ] has been revealed to us, and the resurrection has been fully proved. But avoid all divisions, as the beginning of evils.” Letter to the Smyrnaeans, Chapter 7

Of course theology matters, but EQUALLY important is the basis of the theology. Theology based on a few verses, ignoring the rest of scripture is not trustworthy. Theology which acts as if Christians were actually Israelites living prior to Christ is false.
