For all those saying that's she's coughing up her lungs, she's not. All the stuff she's vomiting up is (obviously) blood, things she swallowed such as plants, string or rope maybe, glass, all sorts of things. And the vomiting could have been caused by her infection, but there are many different reasons for why this could have happened. Btw, she's not vomiting up her organs. Many of them are vital, so she'd probably be dead if she was doing so.

I am late to the party. This is a real phenomenon for tsunami victims. The force of the water causes them to swallow strange objects, rocks, glass, fishing line, whatever. The body will reject this, especially if it’s too big or causing damage to the stomach. Thus you will throw it back up. The red stuff is blood caused by the objects.

mcs1398 there are tons of different ways to do that, they may have been hit in the stomach very hardly, swallowed lots of this and they're coming out, maybe they have an infection etc. I'm guessing the reason that Maria (the blonde one) also vomited at the same time as the other woman is because of the sight of her doing it (like how Lucas was gagging while they where doing it). Yes, she is a doctor, so she probably isn't affected by things like that, but since she is really sick and it was going to come out anyway, seeing it must have made her feel the need to as well.
