This scene is so important to illustrate why people describe it as like being in 'a washing machine'. Literally being thrown about with trees, cars, buildings, you don't stand a chance. And then people are like 'oh just swim', you're a puppet to the oceans power. It really is a miracle some people survived.

It was my second time almost drowning. The first time was at a water park, where i was tip toeing just to have my mouth get some air. But it was raining, drizzling, and i stayed in the water. I could've released the breath I was holding by panicking and could've drowned. That ordeal was IMPOSSIBLE.

1:21, It's quite impossible to survive an injure like this without dying due to blood loss. She got a hole open in her leg, ouch 😬

The Tsunami scene in the movie: ‘The Impossible’ (2012) (along with the Tsunami in the movie: ‘Hereafter’ (2010) has to be the most: chilling, realistic tsunami scene I’ve ever seen in a movie. There is no musical score whatsoever, it’s all complete happenstance, as your just watching all those innocent people mothers, fathers, children old men and women just get obliterated by the tsunami, as it destroys everything in its path. Just watching those innocent people get swept by the wave as they scream in agony as they get swept through the debris and bushes underwater. You can literally feel almost everything in this scene. The Impossible (2012) and ‘Hereafter’ (2010) have the most realistic tsunami scenes i have ever seen in a movie.

I wish we could now see the perspective of the dad and the youngest kids

Yeah I’d have liked to see more on their side. Especially during the wave hitting.

Yea its especially surprising how the little boys survived, with almost no injuries at that. Would've been interesting to see how their ordeal went down.

@@jaymd1149 one of the reasons they didn't show it it's because they don't remember it, the youngest was like 5 years old. Maybe the dad could tell his story but I don't think the kids remember anything that happend in the water.
