To help with making the "dots" try using a metal turkey or chicken injector with a needle tip. Instead of having to pour by hand. Itll give you better control and more uniformity from one bait to the next

I just saw this video and the tails you poured look very much like eastern spotted salamanders and or fire salamanders, I used to fish live salamanders as a kid and everything bit those. I wish someone made a more realistic salamander mold. The closest I can find is a salamander lure called a nest raider… if you had a more realist salamander mold and used that technique many that would kill….would like to see some techniques with eastern salamander colors and patterns.

I'm trying to recreate a few plastic baits that are discontinued. So I've been watching your channel like a little nerd (with a lot of interruptions in between). A lot of knowledge has been absorbed as you pass it on. On this particular pour did the worm bodies come out semi-circular with a fully flat tail? I've never seen a worm like that on the market. Although an original Creme Scroundrel does have a flat stomach it just mimics a huge nightcrawler with no swim tail to balance a "would be symmetrical" swimming worm. What if you wanted melt these "sides" together? Could you modify the molds to register accurately for such a look?

@WorldsWorstFishing4 жыл бұрын
That I'm not sure, aluminum is used because it Mills very easily and has excellent heat resistance.. I'm not sure that stainless steel is as milling machine friendly, these molds are cut to extreme tolerances
