I was just there last week, and I can't wait to go back. I didn't see that night club but we did go to a sports bar called Weckers I had a jalapeños margarita, it was the best mixed drink I ever had and the buffet was also excellent, we had breakfast and the 3 egg omett with real eggs was the best I ever had, there is so much to say about the place but it's not cheap, you are at the Disney, Universal district and nothing is cheap there

It's such an awesome place! We've been there when they have the ICE exhibit which is so "cool"! Haha. They keep it incredibly cold, enough to where you have to wear a parka since it's 9 degrees F. Whoah! Enjoy when you go!

I had never even heard of this resort and now it's the ONLY place I want to stay but a family of 4 with theme park tickets + flights from Australia and 2 weeks accommodation here would set us back around AU$30,000 and that's not including spending money 😞Well, it was nice watching the video anyway :-)

Oh wow Evelyn! That's a lot of money! I'm sure that the plane tickets alone would be most of the cost. One thing you can do to make it cheaper is that you can visit the hotel without needing to pay for rooms. I think the parking cost when we went was $30 a day so you can explore the hotel. If you visit the area it'd be a cheap way to see the hotel. Also Disney Springs is a fun place to visit that's free. I hope that helps!

Stay at a cheap hotel, (there are hundreds in the area) on theme park days, and stay here or at Disneys Beach club and do half of the vacation as pool days. - It’s a total waste of money to stay here on days you will be in the parks.

It's definitely a cool place! If you go in the summer the water park is awesome, but if you visit in the winter they have an amazing exhibit called ICE. They give you a parka to walk through the ice exhibit that they keep at 9 degree F! We've been there during a hurricane and it was beautiful weather inside. Haha. So glad you enjoyed!

It was actually a private party for the dental convention and dentists were bringing their families. It's amazing how many conventions go on in that hotel on a weekly basis!

I wrote y'all some time back about the manatee park in Apollo Beach. The Tampa news just said a few minutes ago the the park will be opening tomorrow for the season. If you check there is a county park called Simmons Park near by that should offer camping.

We're so happy you loved our video! No it's definitely not all inclusive. The hotel price is fairly expensive and you also have to pay for food and drinks separately. To save a little bit we like to leave and go to nearby Kissimmee and get some takeout and bring it back. It's a cool hotel though!

Hi! We've seen lots of families visit the Gaylord Palms hotel in Orlando. The main attraction is probably the waterpark area, which has a great splash area for kids and activities like movie night in the pool. Around the holidays, they also have great activities for children and families, like decorating gingerbread houses. We've actually done that and had a blast!

Awesome Melanie! Having a reservation helps during busy times when there's a convention going on but you don't need one. We actually waited in line and got in within 10 minutes or so. From there you get a nice table and have a great time! Enjoy!

We wish it was included! So it's not typically included, but we remember there used to be packages around the holidays that include some things around the resort, like a meal at the buffet. Wonder if they still do that? 🤔

That's a tough one! You'd have to find what their off-time is but it's hard to tell since they have so many conventions there. Other ideas to lower the cost would be to just do day trips there to enjoy the hotel or split the cost with friends because it can definitely be expensive! If you find a better way we'd love to know because we love the Gaylord Palms!

I think I remember they have floaties that you can get from the shop that are included. Otherwise I definitely remember they have life jackets that a lot of people like to wear. It's not very deep so it's up to your whether you think you might want one. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the question! Not necessarily a night club but they have a sports bar and sometimes when there are big events going on, they turn the convention center into pretty cool creations that might look like a night club. It's a pretty amazing hotel!

Nope! It seems like more hotels are now putting water right on top of the counter but then also putting a tag on it saying basically if you drink it you'll be charged something like $5. That's crazy! 😮

Wow! You're so close! You could actually park there for the day for a parking fee and enjoy the hotel. The only thing is that currently the pool is for people with hotel rooms. It'd be nice if they let the general public in even for a small fee. That's awesome that you're so close!

Thanks for the comment Debra! We normally put prices of different places we've stayed but the Gaylord Palms is all over the place in their pricing. It can be $200+ or really expensive at $500+. They raise their prices depending on time of year and during conventions. One thing you can do if you're on a budget is you actually don't have to have a hotel room to go there. Instead you can pay $24 to park for the day and enjoy the whole place except for the water park. It used to be you could also go to the pool but at the moment it's only for people who have rooms. Hope that helps!

Yes! It's the Gaylord Palms owned by Marriott. There's actually several other ones around the country like the Gaylord Opryland in Nashville, and another large one in Texas. They're pretty impressive if you get a chance to visit!

Yes... All of Florida gets severe weather. There's possible hurricanes from June through November, and then we often have daily thunderstorms through the summer, which can have some wicked lightning! (I think Florida is still the lightning capital of the U.S.) But we once saw a water funnel coming at us on Christmas day, so winter's not off limits either.

It's definitely a different name for a brand! 😆 Gaylord is the family name of the founders of the Gaylord Entertainment Company, which apparently got into the hotel business starting with their hotel in Tennessee, and has since been bought by Marriot (although they've kept the name on those hotels).

Ha! Far from it. The Gaylord Palms is a pretty upscale hotel. They do have some small alligators that have their own little environment behind a fence so you won't have to worry about them. You can get a good view of them close to the hobby. It's pretty cool!
