That red sofa @ 4:34 is an easy professional reupholster. Old as the house, it is probably horsehair but better historic design fabrics you can buy in a fabric warehouse for yourself and give the upholsterer for the job. Might save some. Paid 600 for a larger, more complicated job maybe a decade ago.

Ir,s a shame that such exspensive pieces are left to rot!, but if you take them, the spirits will follow you and persuade you until you bring it back!, spirits ARE REAL, the soul is very real, and spirits go back to the home they once lived in, so they are watching, it was most likely one of them made that noise!!, leave everything as you found it or the spirits will be very ANGRY! LOL 💜👊

Wow! I loved the woodwork and the basement. The house seems to have been updated in the 1950s but it was interesting to see where paper fell to see the older wallpaper. From the contents it appears that habitation ended in the 1960s. The house may be too far gone to save but I hope the owners salvage those fine pieces of furniture and the photos, etc, that haven't been ruined by the elements. Thanks once again, Kappy!

Hi Kappy👍 Yes! This is a yesterdream house, And does remind me of the plantation house my family moved into years ago, there were staircases, and one had a small room bigger than a broom closet, big enough for a half bath. I used to hide from my Mom that was going through her change, but I was wrong, My Mom later on gave me a sister when I was 17, always wanted a sister, but living way in the country, we still got lots of company. There was so much to that house, but also had it’s legend of a wealthy Indian woman who let soldiers stay but they would come up missing. Different pathways in it and it of course was haunted for sure. Different things happened, but the weirdest thing was when I stayed down in the parlor next to the dining room where there was a large dining room set, my Mom got for a present, and as I woke up alone there, there were butlers and servants, maids all around serving people who looked like they were from the 1800s, I rubbed my eyes and ran out the side porch. Went back in and they weren’t there anymore and my family was still sleeping at the time😳😱😁

Photo's tell a lot about this families history.. when I saw the deer head and the gun rack I knew the man of the house was a hunter and I started watching to see the canning jars and canning storage and was not surprised when I saw it in the basement. The man was also a doctor of some kind from the books on biology and medicine. The coat with the eagles I'm guessing was a military coat. I love when you look at the kitchen and the house this one really tells a lot about the family that lived there, thanks for sharing the details. Anna In Ohio

I have questions. Lots of questions, about this house, and I usually *don't* have questions. In what state is this house? What county? Was the first owner a doctor, and had a child(ren) who became doctors? The coat with the eagle buttons is a wool, military coat. An old man died downstairs, and there were no relatives? It's as if he died, and a caretaker locked the door before she left. The plants outside seem to be pressing against the house to protect it. Is this house all alone, in the woods? Does anybody own it now? Yes, this one got to me, with all of its unanswered , "whys." Too many questions. Thanks for the tour!
