Love these old b/w sci-fi's from the 50's and 60's they are so much fun, because they used imagination 👾 to get their action scenes, not computer graphics ! I don't know about anybody else but I am tired of these monsters that look like sinewy, snarling beasts with long claws that all start to look so similar to each other after a while (no originality) in today's sci-fi films.Give me a bowl of popcorn 🍿and a "soda "🍹 and I'll happily curl up on the couch 🛋to watch an old movie any day instead of these "modern" movies!!Thanks B.T for uploading these good old movies for us to enjoy!👍👍,you're awesome!!

You're free to like what you like. But let's be clear. Computer graphics require imagination to happen. Designers and artists spend weeks perfecting these designs. The computers would just sit there collecting dust without them. So let's not wiz on them because it's modern.

Coincidental or Ironic? As I write this - 5 days ago a submersible named The Titan imploded near the Titanic. And when I stumbled across this movie - never expecting a story about a "diving bell" - the similarities are slightly familiar .. ..otherwise, this movie is a hoot! Those volcanoes have such perfect timing...

For low-budget schlock indie sci-fi flick, it could have been worse. I checked out the IMDB page for this film and it turns out that the only reason Phyllis Coates agreed to be in it was because she was dating the director (Jerry Warren) at the time and the actress who was originally signed for the Dale Marshall role cancelled out. So, they needed a last-minute replacement, and he talked her into it by promising her that it wouldn't be released in California. Well, he ended up releasing it there and it really damaged Phyllis' career. Not only that, but he also never paid her for her work in the film.

This movie was dreadful! It had no plot, terrible acting, terrible dialog, terrible effects. I cant' believe all this crap about these old movies being better than movies today. The only good thing about these old sci-fi movies is the laughs you get from how bad they are. Movies made today are infinitely better than this old crap; and I'll take cgi over these bad effects any day.

War of the Worlds 1953 is 10 times better than the 2005 remake. It was science fiction done right. No family crap, No whinny kids and no holding back. The battle scenes in it blew away the 2005 movie. not bad for a movie that in present day US dollars probably cost six million dollars. I am for good stuff regardless what year it is from.
