I really like how the first rock monster broker free of the cliff. That was a well done effect to blend it all in to the landscape like that, so it was invisible until it moved.

I know the main, older actor (Dirk), is from another, sci-fi/horror movie, titled; 'Phantom From 10,000 Leagues'. And the 'good guy', younger actor (the escapee) played a teenage Frankenstein in, 'How To Make A Monster'.

I recall just loving this film seeing it on tv as a grammar school kid in the early 1960's. Starting out with poor pre-print elements with which to perform colorization makes for a unsatisfactory finished product which this colorized film appears to be. I hope better pre-print elements still exist for this film so we can see it as it was intended to be.

Meteor refers to the streak of light caused by a meteoroid entering Earth's atmosphere and burning up. Meteoroid is the term used for the object before it enters the atmosphere. The script should be, "Whats that?" "Meteoroids!"
