Not sure if every movie needs to go through the diversity checkbox list. What if Black Panther had even amounts of Chinese, Mexican, Caucasian, Indian, amongst its black cast...would that make sense as a movie? Granted, the Incredibles 2 movie probably isn't focusing on a geographical area, but I'm just saying I don't think every movie needs it. I didn't mind the diversity in Rogue One, because it was such a large universe with many locales.

Mission Impossible 4 is as good as the first mission impossible in my opinion. While the story might be a little bit run of the mill and flawed by today’s standards, I really enjoyed it. Also that Burj Khalifa stunt remains the best stunt in the franchise so far (I hope fallout can top it!)

While the action was top-notched in the 1st movie, it was the consistently good exchanges between characters throughout the entire runtime that elevated it to greatness & made it stick with me. There was an uncanny rhythm to the dialogue that was borderline therapeutic to listen to, let alone the many delightful quotes. Hoping for a successful replication of this formula in Incredibles 2. From the sound of it in the reviews, it alr delivered.

As a response to the “why does this have to be animated?” Question. I don’t like when people talk about the live action remakes and say “Now we have the technology to do these things” because it makes it seem like people think animation isn’t proper, and that the only reason they animated it was because they didn’t have the technology to make it in live action. I think animation should be respected more and doesn't have to be "justified". And I love whenever an animated movie comes out that could very well be done in live action, like the incredibles.

Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol was one heck of a badass live-action film debut for Brad Bird and Tomorrowland is severely underrated. For someone to say that Brad does not possess the talents required for quality live-action filmmaking is an insult to one of the greatest directors of all-time. It was his purely energizing touch of genius that gave life to the genesis of a widely well-received blockbuster and a separate high concept science-fiction romp that floundered critically/financially but ultimately has so much to offer, creatively speaking. Anybody else feel that Mr. Bird more than has what it takes to make multiple wonderfully inspired and "incredible" live-action movies in the near future?

Please don’t bring up diversity as a goal. This movie is a part 2 with a 14 year gap. 14 years ago it just wasn’t a thing to be diverse. If Disney wants to change diversity they can create a different franchise that has as many different characters as they want. And if it’s a good movie I will be the first to buy a ticket. It’s important that franchises keep a certain rhythm or they lose fans (see The Last Jedi). If they suddenly have 60% white people in Black Panther 2, I’d call that the same misstep.

It's kinda strange that when people "feel righteous" they tend to forget that they can do things the subtle way. Why should we force stuff everywhere ? Just make more Black Panther-like movies, that's the way to go. And maybe as viewers we should try to actually watch movies from other countries as well and not wait for Hollywood to do everything.
