The way she teleported inside her shields!! And I was stunned at how fast paced it was, I wish blink was done this well. I loved voyd. I don’t think she would have been better as a male of color though I thought in fact she should’ve been a woman of color. Maybe I’m bitter but no black girls in either movies with a cast this massive is puzzling to me. Otherwise I thought her adoration for elastigirl making her a little anxious was sweet. I really love everything about this movie just wish it had literally one black girl

I actually thought Evelyn was obvious at first, but then her appearance when Elastigirl was going after Screenslaver had me going - also for as much as Screenslaver said, I kinda thought it could be Winston using the Screenslaver identity to get Elastigirl to look good. But I actually thought Elastigirl was pretty good at figuring out who she was, especially since the idea of Screenslaver physically being in one place when Evelyn and Winston were in other places was still an effective throw-off

It's a great message. We didn't find Helen's work at home to be heroic in the first movie, but in the second we're supposed to see how heroic parenting is from Bob's perspective. Edna outright says it to drive the point home. The fact that Helen makes action hero work and parenting look so easy makes her amazing. I suspect Brad Bird wanted us to think neither of them were shortchanged in part 2 - they both struggled greatly, they both succeeded. They were both incredibly heroic.

Beyond The Trailer+ I just watched this June 14th and it was Incredible!!! I loved how Brad Bird left off from the end of the first film and used Tony as the bystander who witnessed the Incredibles fighting The Underminder. I enjoyed feeling like I was part of the action. It was also, nice seeing more of Jack-Jack, Hellen, Bob, Frozone, and more of the Kids. I can't wait for this movie to hit digital on Google Play because I will deffiently buy it and watch it over and over again. I also did like how when the ScreenSlaver had the screen flashing and it felt like we were part of the action there.

I'm not gonna lie, I didn't get the "evil endeavour" thing until after the movie when a friend mentioned it to me, and I think it helped that they never said her full name. It was still somewhat predictable, not that that ruined the reveal at all because it happened much faster than I expected - I was expecting it to be the start of the third act/climax, not (effectively) the beginning of the second act/roughly half way

Absolutely fantastic film!! Though I HATED the owl super. I was like...there are mutants now? And he was just creepy to look at it and it just did not work for me AT ALL. But really him and the other lame supers are my only complaint for the film. It truly was a worthy sequel and I can't wait to see where they go with it next. Hey Grace, I saw this movie last night and was beyond happy with the experience, especially having gone light on the trailers. I'm currently studying abroad in Chile and had to see the movie dubbed in Spanish as that was the only version available. I met a Chilean family there who went as a group to see it, 14 years after they saw the original. I saw the original with my family, which is currently 5300 miles from me. We chatted about the very fact afterwards and even shared an Uber back to my homestay. It made seeing such a family movie all the more special, particularly because earlier that day I had assured my family that I was fine with them seeing it back home without me. Just thought you'd get a kick out of the story, if you see my comment. Best wishes from Chile!

I think the line at the end with Voyd talking to Violet totally sets up them being friends or partners. Their powers are similar and could work well together.

That Elastigirl vs Screenslaver fight was like something out of a serial killer film. The chase definitely had elements from the Spacey/Pitt chase in the movie ‘Seven’.

Thank you for the review, Grace. I’d like to point out that the ship was a take on “Disco Volante”, from James Bond’s Thunderball. This movie was a fun ride, even if too predictable. Hopefully there will be a 3rd installment.

I did the double feature and gotta say how amazing cg and animation has come. It was a bit jarring seeing the movies back to back cause of the 14 years. Amazing movie loved it hopefully we dont have to another 14 years lol

Love this movie, and Violet snorting out water through her nose was hilarious. So the Underminer: he wasn't caught, will he come back for the third movie?

Void was okay, but yeah--didn't care much for the new supers. I figured it was Evelyn from the moment she said she was the designer of the stuff at DevTech. It was still a powerful reveal, though. I think a better title for the first 2/3rds of this movie would be "ELASTIGIRL: An Incredibles Story"! 😂

while they didnt give away Helens ability to stretch while her motorcycle separates into two, it was spoiled to me on some promotional images on the side of a bus in new york city

Satisfaction. I watched it at a time in my day when all the stars aligned and I was in the zone... myself! Ha! (At least I felt that way). And that’s important because there’s a lot going on and a lot to absorb, and the exchanges between the Par’s was delicious, as always, and there’s was plenty more of it. Every time they spoke I was entertained and all they did was behave like a real family. And we’ve all been Tony, in the midst of a loving yet volatile ego mass such as the Par’s. Fantastic stuff! Right up there with the first one. Great stuff Grace, as always.

I loved this movie! After watching it, I felt like the neighbor kid from the first movie "That was totally wicked!” Void got lot more screen time then the other supers. She helped Helen at the end and fought Violet when the kids first got on the boat.
