With the top fold it would be easy to put a drop in lining in, fold the top over and sew it in.

The side seams would make it very hard, especially with the thickness of the leather

What size zipper are you using? 3# or 5#? they're probably in the instructions...

I really like the design and think of buying the pattern. But is there a reason why you do not mention hand-stitching, because that is what I would do.

I also love hand stitching leather but we designed this with a machine in mind. So you could hand stitch it but the pattern doesn’t include instructions for it

My stitch length usually 4 or 5mm. For tex90 I use a 110 size needle.

Even though I have a Fabricator, I'm not quite brave enough to make this out of expensive leather. I'm wondering if it could be made out of Sailrite's heavy waxed canvas. What do you think Adam?

Possibly for the main bag if you excluded the pockets and zip panel. If you have a leather supplier nearby the often have old pieces that they sell cheap
