Don’t forget Buster Douglas didn’t simply K.O Mike Tyson. Mike Tyson actually knocked out Buster Douglas before Douglas was spared by the referee by given Buster Douglas a prolonged 10 count. That’s what happens when you have a human making decisions. Because, everyone has some sort of biases. And, that ref didn’t like Mike Tyson

Honestly, I really believe if the rematch had occurred..I truly believe after introspection, critical evaluation, & typical determination on Tyson's part , he would have beaten Douglas in the same way Lennox Lewis defeated Haseem Rahmen in their rematch after his Lost to Rahmen in the first bout. 😊😊😊❤

When Mike went in, he threw next yo no punches, and basically allowed Douglas, for whatever reason, to win thsts fight. Whether he was burnt out from all of the fights he had, it was all night partying, or he just felt sorry for Douglas, because he lost his mother, doesn't matter. Douglas didn't beat Tyson that night, he beat a Ln almost defenseless man, a mere shadow of his usual self, but Mike is so humble and modest, he doesn't admit it.

Nah he was knocked down, not knocked out, and waited till the ref got to 9 (which yeah was over 10 seconds because that’s how boxing counts work, they aren’t supposed to be an exact 10 seconds). He was hitting the ground in anger immediately after he was knocked down, he could’ve gotten up with a faster count.

Tyson didn't look right in the ring from round one. He was flat-footed and sluggish for 90% of the fight. So not only was it Douglas' best night, it was Tyson's worst. The two had to coincide to get the result we saw. The best Tyson beats the best Douglas, but that's not what the history books show, and fair enough. You always bring your A game.

In between one of the early rounds I think the 3rd or 4th... his trainer Jay Bright tells him to throw a 6 4 1 inside... which is the uppercut. Douglas was susceptible to the uppercut... he was hit by one just prior to being knocked down ... and again in the 9th... But Erin Snowell push bright out of the way and told him to Jab Jab overhand right. Had he been throwing uppercut early on... a roided out Douglas ( whose drug test results were masked by the Antihistamines he was taking for an apparent sickness he had that week ) would have been out of there Douglas after taking more than 100 punches from a disinterested Tyson seemed punch drunk at the Ohio Celebration....

I watched the count for Buster when Tyson knocked him down. It was a healthy 11 seconds, some could even say 12. Mike said it was a 13 second count. But after reviewing it over and over, it was an 11-12 count. Tyson should’ve won.

It was a flash knockout. You can clearly see that buster was lucid and hitting the canvas thinking "damn he got me" If the Ref counted faster he would've gotten up faster and tyson also got the same count but he was drooling over the canvas trying to find his mouth piece clearly about to fall. The ref had clear deduction that douglas did win the fight. The rules of boxing has always been a ten count.

Mike also fired Kevin Rooney and took Buster Douglas for granted, like a warm up fight for Holyfield. But Buster Douglas’s mother just died and that put the fire of God into him. It was a combination of factors. Mike also pretty much totally abandoned his defense. I’ve watched the fight probably over 50 times.
