Wow man it’s been a year already, totally forgot about this project, first of all can I just say that damn M113 sounds insane, can’t believe it’s a Mercedes, once you and Florida Torque Converter figure out the right stall I hope you partner up with them to market this! That said another great option would be a ZF 8HP, that transmission is next level I’m just not sure which one would be best for the M113, I know adapters are available for the BMW version but it would be even better if one can be made for the Dodge versions as literally millions of them are out there for the America market.

Yeah, she's been an on going project for sure. Thank you for the compliments and tes, fingers crossed on this next converter but if she's over 3k, then I am happy. The 722.6 is plenty robust enough and this one is entirely stock. I have a 722.649 out of a TT V12 if i ever needed one but I don't see this car ever getting even close.

Always good to see an update from you! Car is looking great, it really is hard to get traction in first gear it looks like! My v8 and diesel 722.6 cars always brake the tires loose in first too, just not enough traction for that torque! Best of luck with the new converter.

Actually the low end torque from this engine is fairly weak compared to the upper RPM power hit around 4k. You can almost hear these cams come on power in the videos once the revs come up. Also this is a single plane intake manifold and I already have a dual plane intake ready for a video coming up soon.

@@bicylindrico thanks! I'll be looking around! I just got a '12 GLK350 4matic with keyless go. I really love it. Way better than I expected it to be. It rarely gets driven, I have other stuff I drive.

@@bicylindrico thanks! I love it! I only took a chance on it because it's made in Bremen, Germany. I don't prefer the American made models. They seem different to me. I can feel something different. Like maybe not using torque specs. Idk. But I notice something.

Excellent work and perfect choice of engine swap (keeping it in the Merc family). Have you checked out my mate Brent's M113 engine swap into his 1987 560SEC. He runs a Weistec s/charger which is available in a complete kit for M113. Also like you he runs the 722.6 with its own PCM. He has a 3,500 high stall converter swapped in. Brent's coupe runs like a dream now and he would be open to any questions you might want to bounce off him. did u powder coat your valve covers? is it sticking to the magnesium?

I hand sanded and scratched up with like 600 grit, epoxy primed and shot with VHT engine enamel. Then cleared with Spraymax 2k brilliant clear. This was a few years back and you see them now. Prep is everything

@@narcissistinjurygiver2932 That's where the epoxy primer comes in. It's a 2 part epoxy that is sprayed and cured on the surface sealing the magnesium from the possibility of oxidation. Spraymax also sells a 2 part epoxy primer in a spray can though I use a spray gun and mix myself. Using the chemically hardened epoxy primer and then the chemically hardened clear-coat, you are getting a very stable coating over the magnesium. I hope this helps.

Where are you located. That looks really similar to our area of middle TN. I have done a 5.0 swap in a c230 coupe. Also did you try Southern hotrod in New Orleans area? They do a lot for ours and the Dodge version of the transmission. Also I think June blood has some custom torque converters.
