@@AexisRai i'm thinking that if the game detects something moving out of a recursive level it'll check if it leads outside the level again when they move it out of the small recursive level block it counts that as an infinite exit and same thing for infinite enter but forced to enter the same block, i wonder what would happen with an oscillation thing where you place the level at the edge of another block and put that block at the edge of the level, maybe if you also extend it to use infinity blocks
@AexisRai2 жыл бұрын
@@Chmze799 yes, you've got it, that's basically the mechanism if something tries exiting a room that's inside itself and is at its own edge, the game will detect a loop, because a call to the exit room function for X will result in a second call to the exit room function for X - that would be infinite exit so it calls the exit room function for X-inf instead Analogous for entering and epsilon
@AexisRai2 жыл бұрын
@@Chmze799 Not sure I understand your other point, but supposing you alternate by putting A inside B inside A, B at A's edge, A at B's edge (same edge) if you exit A on that edge, the loop will be detected on A and you will exit A-inf if you exit B, B-inf same deal with alternating entering (there are Challenge levels that show this off that he hasn't reached yet) also you can definitely infinite exit into an infinite enter, if that's what you were saying

If your still confused about the multi infinities, from what I'm gathering from it is, when you make infinity by pushing the level outside of itself(basically creating infinite copies coming out of itself) it simplifies it by creating the infinity symbolized box, so when you have both the normal recursion level and infinity symbolized level at the edge of itself and push the infinity level out it's pushing simplified infinite copies outside of itself making infinite infinity symbolized boxes which the game promptly simplifies into 2x infinite and so on, this is also what happens with epsilon too (at least what I think happens though)

"if youve been keeping up, infinity somehow makes sense" No. No it doesn't. Not at all.
@AexisRai2 жыл бұрын
One try, here goes: Infinity is simple. It works by loop detection. If you try to exit room A, and you find that one of the consequences is that you are trying to exit room A - then there's a loop detected on A. So instead of you exiting A infinitely many times, the game creates the infinity block version of room A, or A-inf (or finds it if it already exists), and you try to exit from there instead. This loop easily happens e.g. when A is directly inside itself and it's possible to push it up to its own edge. If you push it out of itself, it is trying to move out of itself infinitely many times, so it will be pushed out of the A-inf room instead.

@AexisRai2 жыл бұрын
What are you referring to by "outside" rules? Do you mean infinity or the void or something else? The void is just a room that things can be inside of, that is always flat and square and starts with nothing in it. It has the special property that enterable rooms that enter it become unenterable, and when an infinity or epsilon block doesn't already exist and needs to be created, that's where it gets put.

Let's get a little mind boggling. The infinity cube is technically a set of a countable infinity, as there are individual units that comprise the elements of the set of infinity cube, or INF. This just means that you can make a bijective relation from the natural numbers to INF, which in this case we would just pick an arbitrary starting point and assign a number to each, going infinitely high. The double infinity, or DNF, is bigger than INF, right? Wrong. You can make another relation assigning infinite elements of infinity, which can then be assigned to numerical values of the natural numbers. This is proven through the proof that the set of all rational numbers is denumerable, or the same size as the natural numbers. So is Epsilon a countable infinity? No, actually. Since it creates a space of infinite fraction that doesn't base itself in a countable number of smaller elements, it is considered a set of real numbers or irrational numbers. Irrational numbers are not countable
@MSharp-nr5km2 жыл бұрын
Irrational numbers are uncountable, yes, but fractions are countable, and even then each step is like f(n) -> 1/k^n (since each square going down is 1/the size of the square it is contained in). That said, epsilon is indeed not a countable infinity in the same sense but instead related to an infinitesimal, akin to 1/infinity cube (or rather 1/omega, since that's not an uncommon name to associate with a countable infinite) I believe.
@bwax31352 жыл бұрын
@@MSharp-nr5km Ah, makes sense, so it's more like a set of rational numbers in that sense. I misinterpreted it
@MSharp-nr5km2 жыл бұрын
