Honestly, I hate the term blokecore so much especially here in the uk. Before the term blew up, everyone was wearing football jerseys In general so I just saw it as such a out of touch trend and almost culture vulture and it just irked me the wrong way as people who generally wear football jerseys casually would get slumped under the same category and seeing all these big fashion brands excluding Martin rosé definitely doesn’t beat the culture vulture allegations.

While I think a lot of what you say is true, I think blokecore really emerged from women’s fashion. Football scarfs became a bit of a trend in 2017/18. And also, England making it big, particularly in Euro 21 when we were just having mass gatherings again, pub garden football was a big event worth putting full effort into your fit. Blokecore imo came from this

Everywhere you look, they consume British culture. The same people that say it doesn’t exist wear our fashion, watch our sports and teams, listen to our music. You could go to Verona, AC Milan, Marseille etc and you’ll find a big Union Jack being waved. How many people wear clothing with the Union Jack on? Search up Atalanta flag and you’ll see they’ve even incorporated the Union Jack just changed the colours. Go to Malaysia and Indonesia and you’ll see kids wearing English shirts with gazelles and sambas on. You can find a photo of these kids posing with an England flag holding weapons during the 2016 euros I believe. Look at every foreign football stand and they are all wearing the brands that the British fans made famous. It’s definitely jealousy from foreigners, no other nation has had this influence regarding subcultures. Even the remaining two subcultures, punk and ska argued to come from New York and Jamaica but present day, the influence has come more from Britain when you consider the sex pistols to be the most famous.
