In real life Klaus a.k.a Sven Marquard is doormen (not a bouncer but a stylist enforcing the house style) at a famous Berlin Techno night club called Berghain. I’ve seen a documentary about the club with him being mentioned extensively and it must have been at least ten years ago or so. Anyway I recognized him immediately as the guy working at that club in that documentary. A club with a very strict dress code/ style code as mentioned before enforced by Sven. And possibly by others, I don’t know but I guess it must be, he also must have his days off. Anyway a very recognizable style.

In general yes, but this isnt some techno club, its an exclusive club for the free and kind minded, musically passionate and all who's genuine in their personal expression, some more extreme than others and this is a club where all this is possible. There are many techno clubs in Berlin, just this one isnt meant for everyone, hence it's reputation.
