I think as an INFP i've noticed how we have a intense and ongoing urge to plan our individual path in life. It needs to be one that is completely based on our heart and soul and makes us happy. We wish to inspire the wider community to find their own passion and live through their heart and we secretly admire our own complete commitment to living life based on what drives us and makes us happy. We tend to obsess over the planning side of tasks and we often fantasise grand results meaning we spend a lot more time thinking than doing. Although we may 'do' a lot and others see us as very 'busy' we spend a whole lot more time thinking and planning. Our downfall is that we often have immense trouble taking these thoughts and ideas and turning them into a finished project of some sort, as we don't want to endure the actual 'work' as that takes us away from our dream world we thrive in. This can be very discouraging to us as we feel as if we haven't succeed in vital self expression and we get deep sadness from not being able to reach our standards we want to reach when it comes to our passion. We live for constant self discovery and analysis of ourselves and how we fit into the world. We look for role models who seem to hold our core values and who have achieved big things and feel immense pressure by ourselves to reach their level very quickly, for this reason we often experience self doubt but nothing will stop our internal fire and we'll never stop fanning it! We thrive on unconventionality and we feel proud to be unconventional. Expression - Passion - Analysis - Thinking - Planning - Fantasy - Self-Discovery. We have the power to inspire the world around us.

Spot on! But u know, when INFP do get things done, the beautiful thing is they themselves & others whom they care deeply to let in by extension also enjoys the realized dream & idealistic pieces they bring to this world. Infused with liveliness, love & idealism in a non-intrusive in-your-face non-dictating way. Like a nurturing comfy home. I kid u not how many times ppl I DONT feel comfy with yet they are drawn to me & other INFPs I know of & just want to hangout, be close & near no matter hw introverted we are. We do know how to cater & be understanding, gentle, kind, generous, giving. -ve part is Even when we're feisty or tempestuous, ppl know they can still walk all over us or shrug us off afterwards. We're like the go to person for help & if not careful, punching bag Coz we always still find ourselves wanting to mk the world a better place & contribute something sweet or good to our surroundings. The IDEALISM struggle is real!

I can relate to most of this but when I did the test I got ISFP, and then I also got INFP, but that was when I did a different one. I can also relate to some of the things from ISFPs, but, people usually believe that ISFPs are not really into deep conversations about humankind and problems and how the world is and topics of that sort, while I am, so I do think I'm INFP more than anything. I also always encourage my friends to keep being who they are even if people call them 'weird' or 'different' so that's another reason I can relate to INFPs because they encourage others to be themselves. One thing though, is that I don't like to-do lists and planning is hard work for me sometimes, so right now I'm slightly confused as to which of these types I am.

I'm very much an INFP. I have my extroverted moments, but I am by and large an introvert. I love possibilities, I'm a naturally positive person. I like to encourage others and I do make a good listening ear. I want to help people better their lives, hear them out. I also love to write and almost went to design school a few times. I'm making my to do lists and dreaming about how to live up to my full potential. I dislike brash, uncaring people. I'm flexible, funky, funny, and cheerful. I'm absolutely unapologetic about who I am and I want others to feel that way too. :)

i think we can only deal with working with people if its one-on-one (like a counsellor or therapist or something). if its something where we have to work in a team, or we don't have much autonomy, then it can be really draining.

@@deana5274 Sa-hame. I'm a professional artist before anything else as far as working goes, and when I'm forced to work regular jobs, I'm miserable. My parents, husband and everyone else around me doesn't get it. When I was in my early 20s, in great shape and everything, I worked a part time job. Just 4 to 6 hours a day and by the time I got off, I crashed on the couch for 10 hours. I was drained. It's like that with everything I do. Except art. But, of course, everyone that's supposed to believe in me doesn't, so I'm left feeling inadequate and less than.

I've taken the test multiple times and turned out to be an INFP, although I don't feel as if I can fully relate with the type, especially the idealist part. I'm creative, write and draw, and interested in how people think and feel. I like listening to people talking about their problems to me so I can help them, although I also like looking for patterns and statistics in how people function and act. I like conflict and drama as long as I am not personally involved since I find it interesting to see people in different challenging situations when they are forced to display emotions or sides of themselves that they under normal circumstances wouldn't show. Am I just an evil INFP?

INFPs like helping and inspiring others, which is what you mentioned "I like listening to people talking about their problems to me so I can help them." As for the last part, I think that is similar to INFPs how we also at the same time don't really care about changing others. I think it is because we are so independent, and we try so hard to be authentic to our real selves, that we believe other people should also be independent and they should try to figure out their own life. And that if we meddle with their lives and try to change them, that we are preventing them from being their true self. I hope that makes sense! However, if we have a strong connection with that person, and we think we know them better than they know themselves, then we would work hard to want to change them, because we think we know what's best!

At this moment in time, I have only taken two tests, one told me I was an INTP, while the other (more highly regarded) one told me I was an INFP. I find myself torn in that way, as I make decisions based both equal parts logical, and on my emotions. Almost everything I read about the INFP personality type resonates with me very deeply, and I'm almost 100% certain that is my personality type, but certain things like 'idealism' I remember used to have before life experiences etc. I'm not sure how often(Or if at all) people seem to be on the edge of personality types, but mine seems to be because of my personal life experiences.
@SirenoftheVoid
@SirenoftheVoid 8 жыл бұрын
There's two reasons for the false results.One would be that you idealize your type so you don't answer truthfully(or you could be unaware).The 2nd is that a lot of tests aren't accurate. The true way to find out about your type is by going the technical route and learn about the 8 cognitive functions then figure out which ones you use most.Research them or have a professional do go through the test with you.
@kiaz1st
@kiaz1st 8 жыл бұрын
Well, it can't be that I idolise a type, as I took the tests not knowing any of the types or anything about them. My cousin introduced me to the types, and she's done quite a bit of reading on it. She's told me that I am most likely INFP (same as her) but I would like to do a bit of reading myself to check that it's unbiased. Thank you for answering!
@SirenoftheVoid
@SirenoftheVoid 8 жыл бұрын
If that helps at all,remember that we Introverted Feelers care about our own values.If YOU relate to the cognitive functions that the INFP type uses,then you are one.What i did was gather information(through ideas,as is natural for our type) then made my own judgement.What i read felt right to me,so i accepted it.

I am I/Enfp Because everyone seems to assume that you can't be both an introvert and an extravert, or that you n "Must be a little bit more one than there other" but that is completly false. Ambivert is a thing. So I basically cannot have only one personally type...

I'm an INFP, I'm sure about that. Still, I feel like I always contradict myself. I can be so apathetic but at the same time so emotional. I want to say so much sometimes but I can never even get a word in. I do relate to being extremely reserved and I always stay quiet because if I speak I fear I may say too much or sound dumb. I am super hard on myself for every small thing, but I also have a short temper but only express it around family and then can feel guilty for long periods of time. Does anyone else relate?

But I am always hapoy if a person change to be a better person it is sound inspiration and I want it to tell that story to other people, I am so sensitive if people hates me even though I don't know what is the mistake I've done. I feel emphaty to other peoples tragedy, I feel like what if it happens to me what did I do? I am good at listening people, specially if he/she tells about inspiring thing. I hate bully and judgmental people they are so insensitive and arogant. Is that the INFP type?

If it's %5 of Women and %4 of men that equals %9 ....Not %4 of the population???
@ultravioletpisces3666
@ultravioletpisces3666 5 жыл бұрын
No because it's 5% of 1/2 (half the population is male half female, roughly) and 4% of 1/2. Roughly, because women make up slightly more than than half the population. So the point is that its not 5% of the whole plus 4% of the whole-- that would be 9% as you said. Simplify it to 4... 4% of half would be 2%/of the whole. So 4% of half plus 4% of half is not 4+4 but 2+2 or 4.
@ultravioletpisces3666
@ultravioletpisces3666 5 жыл бұрын
Another way of putting it (using the simplified numbers) is that if women are half the population, then 4% of women= 2% of the population. 4% of men =2% of the population. So 2% of the population+2% of the population is 4%.
@ultravioletpisces3666
@ultravioletpisces3666 5 жыл бұрын
@Kiza Naru you can and you can't. But 4% of women is roughly 2% of the total population. You have to take that into consideration. Its like with averages. You can't just add the numbers together, you also have to divide.
