As a city fan our window the last 2 season has been poor, very poor ... Kalvin Phillips had to go, he is not good enough and sad to say but even Kovacic ain't that good enough for me to rely on to replace rodri. That's why I was hoping to go for Douglas Luiz or Kimmich this summer. I hope this time in january, we'll get someone in like Zubimendi

You know what has me fuming besides the Arsenal fans wishing the worst on an injured player? the fact that the board knew that Rodri has been complaining and instead of signing a DM in the summer, they thought surely Rodri is made of Stone. Either way, Kovacic and Stones have the opportunity to stand up, especially Kovacic who needs to display that he is not bench material even with the return of Gundogan. Foden did when Kevin was out.

Ignore those Arsenal fans. They are not real fans. Rodri had already let City know and Pep know he has played too much and needed rest. City has simply flopped finding a successor for Rodri. Recent signings have flopped like Kovacic.I just think that injury hurt more City this season. They won't have the backbone of the mid and the mid will be bypass a lot so the defense will be put into a lot of pressure.

@@javierlandaverde4108 I think Kovacic is coming into himself a bit this season, I think we have to play him and Stones as a pair to balance each other out because Kova is not physically present in midfield but he can drive with the ball etc and Stones does have physical attributes and passing. Sad that Rodri had it all💔😭

If Arsenal go on to win the league, rivals will likely argue it was only because City were without key players like Rodri and De Bruyne, while overlooking the fact that Arsenal also missed Ødegaard in two crucial matches and Rice in one.
