The one thing I like about riding older wheels is that, you get to enjoy the views and soak it in, while most people have faster wheels, with them, you just breeze through everything and not noticing and enjoying the world around you as much as the slower speed of EUC of before.

I've had my V8s for 2 years - Has over 1,500 miles on it, and I still use it daily. Great accessories for it is an EUC bodyguard, and the light-weight NyloNove pedals. I got 32mi out of mine on a single charge (beginner, slow riding trips). I now set my V8s to 15 mph tiltback - It's so easy to forget to take it slow.

Well, I didnt expect to be looking at lower spec wheels to see if I could find good prices, but here we are. Im wierdly tempted to get one of these too! I never had an inmotion before. I sold my ks-14 but I miss it a lot, this looks like it will fill that void. Keep on truckin Duf!

I have a V10F and it fits almost everywhere my MTen3 does - it would make a great camping wheel if it was a little knobblier tire maybe a little more squish...all the lower tier "last year" wheels have really kind of all become affordable (exception in new wheels the begode Mini brought entry level even down more than the MTen3 with better trail capabilities but fatter profile so it doesn't go under many seats). V10F has been on what seems to be on a permanent 200 USD discount every time I think about recommending it but that's only if you have over 1k budget; now it's harder to recommend the mini to people with little kids if the V8S is also on the same sort of ongoing discount that the V10F enjoys. It's nice to see how the smaller wheels do with adults on them, so this is pretty good info - thanks for taking the time to edit/post up. I can see us grabbing the clamming/fishing gear and scooting from campground to the ocean to go get some fresh seafood (Oregon has completely public beaches, so all state campgrounds along the entire coast have bike paths, mostly paved, down to the ocean and recreation areas nearby like lakes and mountains). It's a bummer about the possum - they actually eat carrion so they're like housecleaners of roadkill. Even where I'm at I don't think animal rescue would help me out for a possum, even though they're not invasive.

What a great vid! Just got one of these to learn on and l’m loving it! I have some questions for you if you have a mo: 1) I notice you keep your knees out from the wheel whereas I tend to clamp the wheel. Should I make an effort to relax and just control through my feet? Or is it rider preference? 2) Is that the Nobleman elbow and knee pads you’re still using? I saw your review vid from a year ago - glad to see they’re holding up well and presumably you still like them? 3) What helmet and gloves do you prefer? 4) What is the GPS unit on your wrist? THANK YOU for any help you can provide!

My knees are away from the wheel because I am bow legged. It is better to keep them closer if you can. The V8s is so thin/light you can control with basically foot movement but with heavier/bigger wheels you can not. Yes still use my Nobleman gear, I like it. It's lightweight and comfortable. I have 4 different helmets for different situations. I like the Triple 8 helmets for lower speed stuff. I wear Nobleman gloves but they don't offer the best protection. The GPS is an old Garmin Forerunner GPS. It's ancient but works well.
