Yeah, I've been pointing out to my family members who own index funds that they are probably inadvertently investing in Microstrategy now. Several of my index funds in my 401k now have indirect Bitcoin exposure because of Microstrategy. As Bitcoin climbs higher, more people will be reaping the rewards of Bitcoin whether they intended to or not. A rising tide lifts all boats. Too bad much of the current momentum behind Bitcoin is based on leveraged debt, like all assets. So it will pull back massively at some point and people will sour on Bitcoin, when the money printing debt-based financial system is always the problem. But if we had a financial system that wasn't broken, we wouldn't need Bitcoin.

I sold a car about 8 months ago and accepted payment in XRP with the intention of converting the XRP into BTC but I procrastinated and 8 months later I find the value of my XRP holdings have gone up 5 fold, wooo hooo! The preeminent S&P 500 fund (Vanguard VFIAX) currently holds TSLA, so there is some exposure to crypto already, but it's not like MSTR and Saylor.

I put a portion of my savings in Mstr (yes, majority of my savings is in Bitcoin. The thought process was having fiat for life emergencies since our work situation is still up in the air. I figured done of that money would do better against the 4% that the high yield savings pays) That being said i was about 95/5 btc/MSTR and now because mstr grew faster it's almost 90/10. I would much rather sell mstr for liquidity if i need cash for housing, life, expenses, etc . I don't plan on buying more but i think I'll shave some off next year and hopefully buy more SATs, pay off a good chunk of mortgage, and maybe buy some new underwear😂. I would never have the majority of savings in Mstr and will never sell BTC to buy MSTR. I know that's a bit fiat thinking but for now i think it's what makes the most sense. Last thing i want to do is sell) spend Bitcoin. I'm the future I'll spend it but i want to wait a few years maybe.

Thank you very much. trying to explain this to my Financial advisor was challenging. This might help. he advised strongly against me buying Nvidia, tesla and MSTR 6 months ago. I overcame my fear and decided to ignore him. Now - the 10% of my portfolio that I chose (Nvidia, Tesla and MSTR) have completely overshadowed the rest of the portfolio. Feeling cocky. I best calm down.

So long as MSTR continues to grow the BTC per share, it will be the first stock that "earns" Bitcoin in the same way that tradfi looks at company earnings. It's financial wizardry to be sure, but in the future, should the Bitcoin Standard take hold, companies will earn their Bitcoin more conventionally. I am salivating at the idea of measuring P/E, PEG, Return on Equity, Profit Margin, etc based on Bitcoin.

@rickybobby6605 Today companies earn dollars, euros, yen, etc. Under a Bitcoin Standard companies will earn Bitcoin through usual buying and selling of goods as we already conceive of businesses. With that, classic methods of evaluating a company will involve Bitcoin. > How much Bitcoin will this stock earn every year versus what I pay per share? (P/E = Price to Earnings) > Will the rate of annual earnings growth outpace its P/E? (PE/Growth % - PEG Ratio) > How much Bitcoin does this company earn against the value of its company assets? (Return on Equity) > How much Bitcoin is earned after subtracting the costs of goods sold? (Profit Margin) Did that help?

I know next to nothing about QQQ, but this seems unlikely as firms are added once a year and if above was true it would create a regular buying event that would be front run etc and speculated on. Wouldbt it make more sense if newcomers could be added over a longer period of time ? Same for those that drop out.

Matt, One thing that you didn't explicitly point out that I think is important is that MSTR's share price or the price of BTC doesn't even have to go up for MSTR to continue moving up the list in the QQQ. In theory, if they issue a billion dollars worth of shares and buy a billion dollars worth of BTC, and BTC's price remains the same, MSTR's share price should also remain the same. However, they've just increased their market cap by a billion dollars (because they have more shares outstanding), so they'll move up the list in the QQQ.
