Just think about how much wealth you could have created and what you could invest in now. Gold isn’t the future-it’s too cumbersome and outdated. Have owned BITO since Sept. Dividend is steady . I have been selling call options three months out when the rally started in November started. If you're ok with the chance of losing this ETF selling long calls can be profitable add on to the Dividend. the Price on my long calls would have to hit and stay on 35 dollars. the other ETF like YBIT the call options are worthless to even consider. Ybit is still a possible if all you do is buy into its current price to earnings ratio. Averaging .65-.75 cents a month the Dividend pays for its self in 20 months regardless of the NAV move. your not going to make 4.5 % ROI on a non dividend stock.

If you look at MAXI's webpage, you'll see that the Management Fees is actually just 0.85%. The other 5.24% is for 'Other Expenses', which includes Interest Expenses. These, of course, are just part of the fund's regular operating costs and is handled as with any other operating cost. However, Regulations require Interest Expenses to be included in the stated Expense Ratio, which unfortunately, makes the Expense Ratio look inflated.

The fund manager explained it in another interview: Certain accounting rules require MAXI to make use of a repurchase agreement facility (repo) to serve as collateral for the Futures [contracts]. The interest cost of the repo must be added to the funds expense ratio. However the fund earns an equal amount of money from the interest it earns on the cash it receives, which completely offsets the 10% expense ratio or the 10% interest expense. (At the time of the interview, MAXI's gross expense ratio was 10%+) But even if the interest the fund paid is offset by the interest earned, they still need to report the interest expense. But at the end of the day, shareholders only pay the 0.85% management fee.

BITO was $33 in March when Bitcoin hit 70k all time high. Ok when Bitcoin passed that all the way up to 100k BITO was $25. I don’t understand the odds like how Bitcoin hit 100k but the BITO ETF value did not shoot up with it? Like it was worth $30 some at 70k but $25 at 100k. Just don’t make sense to me.

I admit that I own BITO. I got in under 14 in the later part of 2023 due to a csp assignment. The generous variable monthly dividend has nearly repaid my entire investment. I expect it to have been completely repaid within another 2 months. I have reluctantly sold few covered calls on it. But I have done so sparingly since I do not want it called away from me.
