Out of all the ways you can earn passive income, dividend investing, I’m convinced, is the best. If you go online and pull up a list of different passive income ideas, you’ll likely realize a couple things. A lot of these methods still require you to spend a great deal of time creating something you don’t even know if it’s going to be successful. Nobody knows if your book, music, or artwork is going to get any sales, let alone many years of continuous sales. A lot of other recommendations for earning passive income aren’t actually passive. They still require you to work, like selling items or posting content online on a regular basis. Finally, other methods of passive income require a tremendous amount of risk or a very large upfront investment for them to be worthwhile. Dividend investing, on the other hand, has a very low barrier to entry. Anyone can open a brokerage account, and some dividend stocks cost less than $5 each.

The thing to me is, if you invest and have other income outside of dividends then you will be able to live off dividends without selling. Which means you can pass that on to your kids which will give them a leg up in life. $52k dividends received in 2022.

I agree! That's why it is advisable that you have to invest while you still have a regular job or earning a regular income, and do it constantly. You still need to have something that will keep you going even if you're investing. Good financial planning and money allocation is the key.

The best course of action if you lack market knowledge is to ask a consultant or investing coach for guidance or assistance. Speaking with a consultant helped me stay afloat in the market and grow my portfolio to about 65% since January, even though I know it sounds obvious or generic. I believe that is the most effective way to enter the business at the moment.

My dividend journey began when I realized that two particular expenses in my budget were always going to go up and never go down. The two expenses were taxes and insurance. I realized that the dramatic rise in both will need some added income. So, I started buying shares paying dividends. I can now see that this will be the path I need to take to make sure those two expenses will not overtake my future income.

As a beginner, educate yourself, Learn the basics of investing and the stock market. There are many resources available online, including books, articles, and online courses. It’s a good idea to diversify your portfolio across different stocks and sectors to minimize risk. I’ve heard of people accruing over $550k during recessions and inflation, its important to do your own research.

I have been a dividend focused investor for a long time. This does not mean I don't own growth stocks, I do. A well rounded portfolio should be a mixture of both categories. One way to minimize the anxiety out of stock market investing, is to make sure you keep a large cash cushion. I invest in the market, but never put all my money in market.

I like this channel and I'm subscriber to Dividend Bull. However, being honest here and this is something you do acknowledge in your videos as well is that you also need dividend growth as well. I own both EPD and PG and I'm very happy about that. Nothing wrong with MLPs, REITS and BDCs if you do your homework because the vast majority of them are garbage the same goes for regular dividend stocks as well. I'm 40 years old so I'm not going to be investing in a bunch of money buying apple stocks for it's less then 1% dividend yield that apple is only increasing by low single digits over the last couple of years. At the same time I'm not going to buy a bunch of high yielding closed end funds that tend to go down in value over the years. You need to balance out growth and income and you can't over focus on income or your portfolio is going to constantly just drop in value which means dividend cuts are very likely in the future. Love you covering BDCs and Reits and I wish you would cover MLPs more but closed end funds I'm just not a big fan of.

If you are investing for dividends, then you're really wanting to trade stock appreciation for a higher dividend. These stocks are like a machine in your dividend factory, you shouldn't care too much about the value of the machine. You just want it to produce your "widget" which in this case is a dividend.

My mention to all that get started. It isnt easy. It isnt always making money all the time. Hard road and most of the time you cant see the forest for the trees. When market is strong yes then you can reap the benefits but when it isnt you will get hit with a huge ugly stick and get questions as to why you bought certain holdings . This is when the true (best Holdings will shine). I call it the same as my coach called it ( anyone can run fast when they are not tired) same with investing when the markets are hit and tired the strong will survive. Pick those holdings. Do test and due diligence on those scenarios and you might see decent returns. Never brag about your returns either cause whatever your doing may change and turn from great to terrible and you wont even know why.

Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look.

You have a very valid point, I started investing on my own and for a long time, the market was really ripping me off. I decided to hire a CFA, even though I was skeptical at first, and I beat the market by more than 9%. I thought it was a fluke until it happened two years in a row, and so I’ve been sticking to investing via an analyst.

Don't forget that any nondividend portfolio can be converted to a dividend one by simply investing in SVOL or another high dividend etf and rebalancing monthly. As an example, $50k in nvidia and $50k in SVOL. SVOL has about 16% dividends a year and nvidia is effectively 0%, averaging to 8% in dividends each year. But you sacrifice a large portion of potential nvidia gains for being less volatile. Napkin math says $100k at 8% is $8k a year; $666 a month ... assuming nvidia stock stays flat which it probably won't lol

DGi investing in qualified dividends is better in every way than high yield investing unless you are in your 50s or older. The tax advantages and the annual growth of something like JNJ, MCD or LOW far outweighs the sluggish non-growth or cuts that this channel recommends. And also all this high yield stuff is taxed as ordinary income so get ready for a big tax bill while you are investing your 100k. Plus 1k a month isn’t much of a goal. Strive to get there with stocks that will grow the dividend by 6-12% annually and your 1k will grow even if you stop reinvesting dividends.
