That's an incredible buck regardless of how old do you think he is 😊 you never know if a deer like that'll make it another season with other hunters he's absolutely something to be proud of
@landonboston423523 күн бұрын
He isn't whining. Different hunters are at different places in their hunting goals and what they get out of it. Thats the beauty of it. Its all about what gets you excited. Some people want just the meat. Some people want to love to see deer reach thier potential and thats what this was. He made sure to still appreciate the hunt and this deer. There is nothing wrong with this and his opinion and his outlook on this hunt can be appreciated by people who understand hunting.

What do you guys think of using ozone to mask your scent.

Based off that shed the year before he very well may be a giant 2.5 year old. Would be very interesting to hear how old it is if you got it aged

That's not a 3 1/2 year old look at its face partial roman nose. 4 1/2 maybe. Either way better than the spike and 4 point in my woods congrats.
@Avid_Conservationist27 күн бұрын
I really lean 2.5 based on the shed he found the year before

Imagine being disappointed over a lifetime buck for most of us everyday hard state land hunters pretty unbelievable when you think about it . He was standing over that deer like it was a spike give me a fvcking break.
@ericeickmeier918027 күн бұрын
hah the ol roman nose reasoning. The whitetail nose and snout length comes in numerous configurations and the roman nose has nothing to do with age. Color doesn't either. Study more deer and you see. When a big buck shows up out of the blue and seems to be a homebody, it's usually a healthy 2.5 year old with good antler genetics. Been doing this a long time. I have made the same mistake more than once. The shed antler tells it all...that quick glance at it without even getting to see the tiny pedicle, very obvious.

3.5 without doubt. Look at the shed clearly 2.5 shed

It isn’t a deer society original. It’s a whitetail edge original with Ben. Dump whitetail edge, not deer society. I am surprised they shared this one on their channel though. I quit watching Ben after this one. Haven’t been back since.

@@joshcastle360 What did Ben do that was so wrong? He hunts mature whitetails and came up short accidentally. He admitted he had fun, but wish he gave him an extra year out of the respect for the animal. Y’all will cry about anything smh
@ericeickmeier918027 күн бұрын
@@Southernpointp Absolutely agree. He is after mature bucks. Clearly was a young buck and he let the number of tines get to him. Ben acknowledged it and was honest. Needed two more years and you would have been looking at a 220+. Very respectable buck regardless. Good job Ben.

Ben Rising gets to hunt the best land in the country. Would love to see Ben come to long island ny and hunt public if he did he be just another bow hunter like myself.
