Everytime the depression starts to hit me, I come here, and I feel a little bit better. I can never explain how much this video still means to me, two years later.. . I was in a very bad mindset that day, and I will never have the words to say what this did for me. Thank you, Brent.

Thank you. As a suicide survivor... Thank you for your efforts to help. I've lost three of my seven children to M.D. and suffered through rape at thirteen years old. I was bullied and wasn't good in school. Finally, my husband has recently been diagnosed with Parkinson's and he's only forty-six. My point is, what if I had succeeded? What if my thirteen year old self had ended it all? I adore my three daughters and my husband, a man I've been with since I was seventeen years old (I'm forty-five as of the eleventh). I don't know how long I have them, but I want to live and enjoy them. I want to find my potential and fly. Look at the pain that's left behind when someone ends their life too soon. This world needs your mind, heart, and your presence. Stop and breathe. It won't be like "this" forever. Time has flown by for me even though I feel no older than my early twenties, but there it is. Thanks Mr. Smith for your music and your efforts to save a life. God bless.

Soundgarden was always a big Shinedown influence, especially in the album Us and them in songs like Heroes, Yer majesty and Atmosphere in my opinion.

I met Brent in Beavercreek, Ohio. The Sunday before the show I almost took a hand full of pills. I was done. Little did I know that I would win meet and greet tickets the next day. The only thing that stopped me that night was my son. I didnt want him to find me. Two days later I was at the show and counting the seconds until I was able to meet the band. I thanked each member for saving my life, but they have no idea just how close I was. The Gods set that day up. For everything to happen the way it did. I can't stop thinking about that 2 minutes I had with the band. I've followed them since 2002. I really cant thank them enough.

Thank you for the upload!! I missed it yesterday and just now got to watch it. not even halfway through I started crying. I've been battling depression more than ever recently. not that I am suicidal but many days I welcome the thought of death. Brent and Shinedown help me so much every single day, I'm so grateful for them. I needed to hear this, especially by Brent. Thanks so much. Forever my inspiration.
