hello Mike, great video.great to see proper trains,i remember that derby lightweight dmu single unit in 1967,,it was used on the twyford to Henley line,i presume it was covering for the 121 which was in for service. i was only 14 at that time.but trains were trains then unlike now.

Interesting viewing Mike, I've never been to this line myself. Quite a bit of stock there for a fairly short line. Nice to hear the old DMUs and diesels at work, snd what a superb job they've made of 47192 at Crewe before loaning it out.

Have visited there once but was unable to do the incline line. Great footage of a great little line Mike. Maybe a case of "Rose coloured spectacles", but imagine a gala in X years time with classes 15, 23, 28 and 10000🤣

Great video Mike!! I love the Ecclesbourne valley railway! Went there when I stayed in Burton on Trent not too long ago! Brilliant diesel action you got! Love that 31! Although, when I went there it was nice and sunny! Cool to see a old DMU being dragged by a loco!

That 47 looked immaculate. Good to see 31601 still in the DCR livery. Much rather it was still on the mainline with them though. Thanks for sharing though Mike. First class as usual 👍🏻
