@@kyles5960 uh no maybe you're not as familiar with controls but once you go into run you can not turn around cleanly but as I said When it comes to dash dancing you can turn around during the initial dash at several different lengths. When I say holding forward, I do not mean hold forwards until you go into run. I mean if you tap forward and buffer and action, and if you hold forward for slightly longer before buffering the action it will result in different lengths of space. Try it!

@3:05 I think I know why the c stick is harder to turn around dtilt. I found that a diagonal doesn't register at 45 degrees. It's more like 35 to 40 from the y axis. Someone more interested in this can confirm the actual amount of rotation. Since the C stick is a macro and there's probably no delay between the stick and "attack" input, it's incredibly easy to start the joystick at the wrong angle even if you end up at the correct spot. When using the stick and tapping attack yourself, there's some delay. Even if you started moving the joystick from the wrong angle, by the time you press attack you've already likely set it in the correct area for a d tilt. I imagine the buffer issue mentioned is the same Thoughts?

In pivot cancel dtilt, you normally will face away from the opponent which isn't that useful. You can hit the angle to get forward facing dtilt but there's another way. If you hit the c stick down 1 frame after the pivot input you'll get forward facing dtilt. It sounds tight, but when you're just hitting two sticks at nearly the same time it's quite easy. I wonder if this could be used here to get the dtilt? Like maybe hit forward on the control stick and input dtilt with the c stick in one frame.

I tried adapting these same techs with Young Link, and you can extend the combo by using another bair after the first one instead of fast falling. With this you only land the first hit and when you land you can down tilt into a double bair into down tilt. Then you can go for bair into double jump bair into a buffered up special. However its difficult cuz you will have to follow DI in this last part to get it right. However if you do get it you can put almost 70% of damage. Great video and thank you so much for the idea.

quick note about the instant rar tech. there actually is a shortcut unlike your claims. it is possible to do it by inputting angled back instead of directly back. (up right or down right for example) basically the goal is to input the opposite direction without triggering the dashback animation. then you'll be able to turn around during a jump as long as you are holding that angle and you jump when in that angle. this may also be controller dependant but it CAN be notched. I go into more detail on my ssbworld blog (ssbworld(dot) com/blog/386/ken-theorycrafting) I hope it helps!
