Hi. Any idea at all what this thing might weigh? I wanted to back the Ecto 1A Deluxe before this Friday but the potential shipping tax to the UK on product weight is a concern to me in case I get hit with an outrageous price and this thing is very expensive already. Thanks.

I don’t I’m afraid - I didn’t lift it myself - as it was a prototype. It didn’t look super heavy.

@@ExperienceExplorers Well do you reckon if I were to order it I might get hit with something like a £150 import tax on delivery (on top of the £400 for the Deluxe) to the UK? lol Some guy warned he backed out of it because he said that would be the outrageous charge you see (or even higher). But some other UK guys seem to be backing it without fuss.

It’s not flat - but the picture in the site makes it look that way because of the angle - if you see the footage of us handling it in vid you will see it has a nice curve 😊

It's a very early prototype that Hasbro has a year to make improvements to, and I've found that they have been open to fan suggestions for improvement.

Is it me or the roof of the Ecto-1a strobe isn't working? Did you tell them that?

The electronics programming are not final - also I found some of the light sequences did not properly translate on video - particularly strobing.

No seatbelts - the ecto1_nj that was part of the consulting process has no belts - I’ve been in it many times and it’s an odd experience not having them!

Backing one regardless but am I correct to assume that since this is made to fit the plasma series then it wont fit other hasbro lines like GI Joes (say snake eyes for example.. for sure not a RB).

Good question - yes this is designed for plasma - I know they worked hard to enable the ability to seat all 4 figures of the plasma series inside

Diamond Select already made a good Janosz figure. I'd rather the Plasma Series did his Ghost Nanny disguise form complete with pram, attachable grabbing arm and mini Oscar Barrett action figure lol

This should have been an either or option. The decals will in no way hold up to multiple uses.

I know they really want to make it a good swappable experience - as they are committed to the intent of fans being able to swap back and forth.

@@ExperienceExplorers I just don't see it happening. Unless they're going to have removable doors and fenders. It's just not feasible. They should have just painted it to match whichever model people want. And then have people decide. Personally if I purchased a deluxe one I would only have it as one model and that's it. So the extra roof wouldn't be worth it to me.

This looks far more accurate than most plastic Ectos of the past, with the quality of lighting you'd only be able to get from a custom made model that cost well above $400. Not to mention all the figures and accessories which are a $100 value all on their own.
